Longstrider/ Expeditious Retreat Improvement

Well, recently I was thinking how useless longstrider/expeditous retreat was, because after a certain level everyone has striders of a higher movement percent or even haste, so I was thinking how nice would it be if these could "level up" with you, and possibly being allowed to free up a gear slot with them.

Longstrider - Increases base run speed by 15%, and increases by 5% every 4 levels, max 35% at level 20.

Expeditious Retreat - Increases base run speed by 20%, and increases by 5% every 5 levels, max 40% at level 20.

Thoughts?

Actually I use Ex Retreat on all my arcanes. It is faster than +30% striding. The Wiki can clear it up for you.

Oh, well that's nifty. I guess the expeditious retreat part could be revoked, but longstrider could still use a improvement :P.

Truth be told I do wish they would give us something faster. When I enter the Desert, Gianthold or the Vale and I lose my 50% pendant speed I am a sad panda. It would be nice if items actually gave you the speed advertised. Barring that a faster Ex Retreat or Longstrider would work
