Elite Von 5, Varr's sorry for the Fail

Hosted an xp farm 3 days ago with level 12 cap. Did Von 5 Normal/Hard/Elite then a Von 6 Normal. Went well enough. 22, 29 and 35 min or so on the 5's and fun had by all.

Ran a Von 5 Elite today, three days later with 14 cap on level. Everything goes ok enough till end fight. Get everyone up top and ask them to wait while I run Varr's Tart up. So Varr's Tart gets to the top, jump on Varr and type "dont use elemental weapon effects" and start it.

I didn't say anything else about the fight and didn't cover buffs or the like. I just started and expected to heal thru the fight on my 12/2 Cleric Savant/Monk. Blue scale, 3 min Clickies of 75% healing, bit of aura, bit of mass Mod and Light.

Fight starts...........I Raise the other healer twice immediatly..........Then I burn thru my mana, and 6 pots of mana over 4 min or so, give or take and the bugger is still alive. By this time we went from 9 or so melee to about 4. I bb kite and res everyone back up and try one last attack being out of pots (poorly prepaired) and burst some healing and most of party dies.

This was a failure of a poor tacitcal decision. I did not explain the fight well enough. I did not make a point of buffing group. I started the end fight and caught everyone off guard. Had me and another cleric, one caster and the rest melee.

I under estimated how much difficulty we would have with him and the fail was mine. Sorry mates, will make it up to you next go.

If somebody puts you on their 'special friend' list for a single failed quest, it their loss.

Varr I think you're being too hard on yourself man. Disaster happens sometimes. I don't think anyone blames you or holds a grudge for the wipe. Just keep on keepin on brother
