Default Give Hireling Casters RESIST ENERGY

For the love of all that is righteous PLEASE give hireling casters that should be able to have it Resist Energy. At least so they can cast it on themselves! I don't care if they can cast it on me but I get sick and tired of having fireballs and stuff bounce off my character because I drank a resist pot or have a greater resistance cloak/outfit and watch my cleric hireling keel over dead because the dang hireling can't cast a basic spell that every last character that is capable of taking the spell would be a fool not to take.

As a BONUS make it so they can cast the spell on other characters, especially characters that we are supposed to be protecting because it really sucks to get all the way thru Ritual Sacrifice and have the dork from the 12 die because neither him nor the ding-a-ling hireling can cast RESIST ENERGY.

As a SUPER BONUS give caster hirelings an 'other spells' button that the player can press to bring up a list of other (non-combat) spells the hireling knows, like other long-lasting buffs.

    Thank you very much

(oh, and make sure they have extend for those... )

I agree, and please fix their path or whatever its called so that they dont get stuck every 5ft. I hate being on my rogue and having my fighter hireling just stand there while I am telling him to fight so I can use my sneak attack.

    Default One has it..

Wish I could remember which hireling but one of the 12th level clerics has it and can cast it on you as well. I was shocked to find it to be honest.

Alternatively, make it so Potions are able to be used on your target instead of just yourself.

And give the clerics Radiant Burst! This should be a no brainer.

And as a bonus throw in the aura as well.

I don't know. Right now this is one of the few advantages that self sufficient classes like rangers and paladins have left. They can use wands at least, which are available at a higher casting level.

I tend to agree with this but a couple of points

    1) A few (or one) can cast protection mass
    2) I often see my hireling get hit with Energy, and it shows as yellow. Implying they have resistance. Any idea?

A lot of them at higher levels have dragon scale armor, which provides resistance vs. the element the armor represents.

    I'll /sign this suggestion definitely

As for Radiant Servant - The level 17 and up Hirelings should all be given the aura, The level 9 and up hirelings who don't have DV - Sammy, Fayden, Flagon, Dheran, Isadora - Should all be given the Burst.

Please Devs - Make it so!

Not unless it is a secret spell: http://ddowiki.com/page/Hireling

And yes, I am shamelessly bumping this post once again. I am running the three new quests with three new characters and you know which one has difficulty soloing (with hireling) the 2nd quest? The fighter. Becaue the hirelings don't have RESIST ENERGY, and can't keep themselves alive. The fighter has a cloak of greater fire resistance.

Can't the hirelings at least get cloaks of greater fire reistance? (preferably fire, frost and acid)
