So I'm looking at my dragon touched vestments thinking, "What on Earth should I put on this..." I have decided, I must have heavy fort on it, as that was what was on most of the robes I switched through, and never got a more perm. item for that, and the vestments themselves cleared up my bracers (+6 to AC). But what Tempest and Sovereign should I add? I am thinking, tempest rune of +5 protection (Frees up a ring I believe) and Sovereign rune of Stoneskin.
Another idea for Sovereign rune would be the +4 insight bonus to AC, since that will stack with everything I have currently, and make my armor purely AC crazy. This would give me +6 armor bonus, +5 deflection, and +4 insight bonus for a total of +10 ac just from this. I have a hat that gives +5 natural armor, so don't need that. I already have a dodge +3 item.

I currently have Greater FR and Healing amp 20%,, just because they were trash runes and none to grind with them.

List of the Runes

Thinking of doing a pair Min II bracers (Stoneskin clicky, heavy fort, +5 protection) to replace my bracers- This leaves ALL my rune slots open.
New idea: Eldritch of Deathblock
Tempest of Salt Guard OR Tempest of Exceptional Wisdom +1
Sovereign of +4 Insight AC OR Sovereign of Dodge +3
I run around with this most of the time, so this is another nice stoneskin other than my bracers clicky.

If you want to go for AC you could pick either +8 Armor Bracers or the Thaarak Bracelet / Chaosgarde (+2 Dodge) for another +2.
Greensteel is always an option. Maybe HP/Smoke, depends on what you need.

For a monk, imo nothing beats the Jidz Tet'ka for bracers. Even better epic. The new Tharaak Bracers from the Harbinger of Madness chain are a close second as they can replace your minos legens. If you are a light monk, I can't see putting anything other than the healing amp 10 and 20 in the first two runes.

I would decide what kind of content you want to run at endgame. If Epic, forget about AC and get healing amp. If not, calculate out what you can reasonably expect your AC to be. If it's less than 60, forget about AC and get healing amp. I would find it really annoying to grind out runes for weeks only to find that they were useless.

You could also get multiple sets of DT armor: healing amp, AC, guards, whatever, and see which one you like best.

I should have mentioned it- I'm working on getting Tharne's Goggles and the bracers ( A switch off for the ghost touch, so I don't have to use GT wraps and can't use my good wraps)

updated, I'm getting other items to cover the armor bonuses that my DT could cover- I'm solely interested in what tempest and sovereign rune (See original post) that people think I should add.

I have yet to make my first tier III GS Cloak so my current DT armor is as follows...

1. Heavy Fort
2. Magma Guard
3. Radience Guard

On my other toon I have as follows...

1. Heavy Fort
2. Exceptional Str (Horc toon)
3. ????? Don't have this filled yet because I didn't get a meele rune on my first run with this character so I passed it to a caster.

Once the GS cloak is finished it will have Heavy fort so I will probably go with a +30 HP rune for the first slot on character #1. On #2 I just picked up a belt that is +6 Con and +30 HP so that is likely to stay which clears up some slots on the DT armor.
