    Default Billing system broken?

    Is the billing system broken right now?
    I'm trying to renew my account and i'm getting an error. whats up? (never had a problem with this account before)

    Turbine introduce a new billing system that makes many people (myself included) unable to pay with their credit card unless it basically is a card in the US that follows the most strictest of verification terms. (err 3005)

    If your based overseas like Australia you have virtually zero chance of subscribing as a VIP via Credit Card , they want you to pay high prices on paybycash instead with no discount. I would sign up in a heartbeat for the new deal thats on , but basically cannot with any credit card I have , whilst WOW , Rift and others accept it fine.

    I wanted subscribe a few weeks ago and couldn't so gave up. Wouldn't be surprised many others out there as well , no shortage of MMO's that will take your money without such a restrictive billing system like Turbine. I wander when the bean counters at Turbine will realize this will hit their bottom line.

    Ive been a long time subscriber of LOTRO , DDO but now can never be a subscriber. Their loss really.

    We do have a fairly strict verification system. samhain604, you may find some helpful details about the verification requirements in this sticky.

    We do continue to work to improve our billing system. We are aware that some players have experienced problems recently. While in some cases we have found that the issue was caused by incorrect information being added, we are aware that is not always the case. The Account Management Support Team is always happy to assist with cards as well (but please do NOT email or include your card details in a web ticket, for your own security). Contact options are available in my signature.
