    Default Question about 12 monk/6 pally/2 fighter

    Hey all,

I know this has probably been posted before, but I can't find it. Can anyone post a link to this build?

I would roll it up on the generator but I'm at work.

    I'm intrigued by the possibilities.

    Thanks.

I had thought about doing something like this, but I was thinking something more along the lines of 12 Monk/6 Fighter/2 Paladin or Helf 12 Monk/7 Fighter/1 Rogue/Paladin (or Rogue) Dilly.

All that 6 Paladin is really getting you is Divine Righteousness; you should be too busy mashing earth attacks to be using ES/DS and keeping up DF and DM.

You could also try out a Helf 12 Monk/7 Ranger/1 Rogue/Pally Dilly and go for AA. x5 Bow of Sinew crits in Earth Stance sound like fun.

Do you want to be able to tank?

Yeah, I dunno. I just saw this mix mentioned in another thread and it looked interesting, so I thought maybe it was out there already with a shnazzy name, lol.

Edit: Nah, tanking is not really my thing unless the build just happens to have the survivability.

Then I don't really see the need to go 6 Paladin.

Well, someone mentioned that it was an optimal DPS mix for a monk. I then started thinking that if I went WF, it could double as a tank if needed.

Keep in mind, I'm still rather green, so I really don't know how everything breaks down. The highest character that I have is a 7Rog/6Mnk/1Ftr Ugly Stick build.

12 monk 6 pally 2 fighter is a really good tank build actually. If you want to make a tank build you can make one with those splits.
    Norg Fighter12/Paladin6/Monk2, Jacquiej Cleric18/Monk1/Wiz1, Rabiez Bard16/Ranger3/Cleric1, Hangover Bard L20, Boomsticks Fighter12/Monk 6/Druid 2, Grumblegut Ranger8/Paladin6/Monk6, Rabidly Rogue L20, Furiously Rogue10/Monk6/Paladin4, Snowcones Cleric 12/Ranger 6/Monk 2, Norge Barbarian 12/FVS4/Rogue4. Guild:Prophets of The New Republic Khyber.

12 Monk/6 Paladin/2 Fighter can make an effective tank regardless of race because 6 levels of Paladin grants you the ability to take Divine Righteousness, which uses up a Turn Undead to grant you 100% extra hate generation for 1 minute.

If you're looking for a tank build, I could definitely draw one up for you.

If it's just DPS you're looking for, I would probably consider the other options I detailed in my first response. 7 levels of Fighter get you Fighter's Strength II and Fighter's Haste Boost III and 4 feats. I am liking the look of the 7 Ranger split; Manyshot + x5 Crits with Bow of Sinew + Slayer Arrows + Rogue Haste Boost I is a lot of nice burst DPS, while Ram's Might and FE II along with free TWF and ITWF certainly help you out on the melee side of things. The Half-Elf Rogue Dilletante adds 3d6 Sneak Attack damage which would stack with the 3d6 Sneak Attack damage that you'd get from Ninja Spy II.
