Hello

This post is mostly directed to someone i met ingame who was curious and Human paladins.

So here goes:

base Stats:

16 CON, 16 STR, 16 CHA, 10 WIS, rest is untouched. This is a 32pts Build.

At level up, when I could, i increased STR each time.

Feats:

Power Attack
Two Handed Fighting
Improved THF
Greater THF
Improved Criticals: Slashing
Extend

Enhencements: I mostly took what I needed for KotC and put points toward more smites, LoH and Exalted Smite, Divine Might.

My paladin uses mostly a +5 Holy Burst Maul while doing insane criticals.

Thats about it.

Will add when I think of more.

Note: A WIS +6 Item will be required to cast spells, at later levels.

you should be taking toughnes, and probably something like quicken spell to rebuff yourself during battles

TWF is generally better than a THF on a Paladin, but is harder to gear(to-hit problems, eCBs, high UMD, etc...but really scimmys are fine as well)

You easily have enough to max out all the good paladin enhancements
Mauls are a bad choice of weapon for paladins, for the paladin to excel in DPS they need a weapon that can properly show off their smites and divine sacrifices, preferably the falchion because of the high crit threat range. I can see that you're using the Holy Sword maul, and, trust me, that greatsword(still not better than grataxe/falchion) is the better use of that spell

I'm not high enough on my own pally to speak on feats. but i would try an fit a toughness in there somewhere, its what... 23-60 hp with enhancements?

You only have 6 feats ^^ so the last can be the toughness.

Yeah >< I just realised the Maul thing. However i am now using a Greensteel Great axe.

Looking good so far.

Just finish it up with Toughness, and your should be solid.

Don't be scared to swap around weapons as you fight, using what you need per situation. The good thing is, you won't need a boss beater as you will have Holy Sword.

Yep, I will take toughness. I also need Vornes Belt from Amrath for more HP!

I am having great fun with this paladin. In shroud, I had like 5 Types of damage on the devils and double strike occured often, also using the maul, my crits where either 120+ non Smited, and 490~530 on Exalted Smite III. and the ciritcals occured OFTEN too.

It would be 23 from Toughness + 40 Paladin Toughness + 20 Racial Toughness (or more depending on Race) so at least 83 Extra HP.

That should give you 100 extra HP (not counting the con boon), which will be significant to the build.
