Well hello everyone of the DDO Forum Community. How is everyone here?

I am a new gamer to the DDO world. Only 3 months old in the game to say the least. I had joined in March and well its July now so Im still a baby in the DDO World I suppose but Im a quick learner.

Having a number of characters to play with I still find my Ranger to be my favorite for a number of reasons. Namely for it was my first DnD character I made in the PnP version back in 3.0/3.5 days of release time but alas I digress.

So now after spending 3 months into the world of DDO and enjoying the world of Ebberon it comes to me I have questions as many do.

My main is a Half-Elf Ranger lvl 18 for now. I have 2 levels to go and I do plan to Cross Class since the lvl 20 Capstone Enhancement doesnt really apply to my play style as a Ranger in this game. Even though it is highly useful.

My original plan was to go Ranger 17 and Paladin 3 but that was shot out the window when I found out that I couldnt go Paladin unless I changed my Alignment to something Lawful from my current Chaotic Good status. Which I dont plan to so I had to go another route.

Any suggestions for my last two levels? Right now I am planning on the last two levels to be Fighter. I had someone suggest Monk to me for my setup since I use Dex for my AC and use Robes/Outfits for the most part and that my Wisdom may be decently high due to being a Ranger and spell casting. I have the Half-Elf Feat from lvl 1 to gain the Monk AC Bonus so I dont see any point in cross classing to Monk for that enhancement to my character.

Gear questions wise.

Well the whole thing with Dragontouched is mentioned to me as an end game thing. So im getting to the point of really working on that. I havnt done a whole lot as my first character to focus on the Raid Aspect of DDO and its gear it presents.
What are some suggested Dragontouched Enhancements I may look out for on my Dragontouched Armour later on? Runes that is. As a small note I do wear Outfits and Robes vs actual Armour. I am built for Dexterity so Armour tends to slow down my AC when I wear it.

Green Steel. Mmmmm. Such a sexy thing it is. Im still working on being raid flagged to The Shroud. I think Im 2 quests short of it. Aside that I plan to make a Rapier till I can get around to doing the quest to wear other Green Steel goodies.
What abilities are suggested for a good Rapier of Green Steel quality?

I know once I hit lvl 20 I will be able to do certain Quests on Epic which comes to me as a reminder I have lvl 5 weapons and certain gear from the Sentinals of Stormreach area that can be epic upgraded. The Monk Bracers in general. Do I only need the 3 Epic Sigils to turn it to the epic form or do I need some kind of Scroll as well?

Lvling Question:

As I am now lvl 18 fresh off she wagon. Where is a good area for me to lvl up at? Solo and Group wise? I have no access restriction to quest areas so all zones are open to my blades : ).

I'm sorry to say this but Monks like Paladins have severe alignment restrictions.

2 splash rogue for trap/locks/umd

2 splash fighter = extra feats

splash barb = rage

don't splash caster of any type.

Sounds like you are in need of a guild. I'm sure there are good ones on your server.

Dragon touched robes offer a lot of flexability - they have 3 slots, but you need to find the runes to fit the slots for what you want. Look on DDOwiki for what each rune does so you know what your looking for.

For greensteel most people make LitII weapons and craft the rest of what they need for spicific items. Once again you can customize what you wish here.
Remember you can wear a GS item and weild 2 GS weapons without using a clensing essence.

As far as epics, Party crashers is considered some of the easier epics, while the sands are considered most difficult. Some say sands some say chrono here... there... whatever. Your gona need to find people to run with I would recommend raiding a little so people know who you are and what your capable of. If your a good player you'll get invites, it'll also make you better and teach you where the faults are in your character are.

I would recommend fighter for the additional feats, BAB and HP. You can also use a change alignment item from the store and go monk if you wish.
