point 1. kernal. he has opportunity to clarify. all of turbine does. at this point they have been called to do so. response will dictate outcome. nevertheless the fact that a system of items of this type and grade were in a build says they are considering these for use as trash ingredients. that opened a new door in the mind of the playerbase forevermore. no unringing that bell. he also flat out lied to us in the same post. he claimed something could not be done that was done during the u9 cycle.

also note that they have staffers with the title community relations specialist. there are times for your pr person to put out the official response. this is one of them.

point 2. rare named items and raidloot as bound crafting ingredients. unbound was historically using three times the ingredients. oh joy.
three chaosblades for an unbound vampirism shard!

point 3. currently a person can bring you materials to have you craft something for them. if the shard requires btc and bta items? furthermore this means to make this a business, you absolutely must take all raidloot you get on your crafter, and on your non crafters if it's bta. otherwise that number of runs of raid x that randomly award you no raidloot will dry your material supply for making anything really really fast. note the lack of listed or proposed changes to raidloot mechanics, raid timers, bindings, etc.

point4. as noted above it's not just a couple items. and this is not eladrin with his" i like to be cryptic and confusing because i'm evil" half joking ways and teases(that can be fun soemtimes). this is good old floyd. ambiguity from him to the degree contained in that single post, is like.. ah hell i can't think of a quite right analogy at the moment. it's just bad. it gives the impression that when he said "whoops" he was thinking in the back of his head "oh shi-" over and over. i actually feel bad for poor cordovan and tolero, they clearly got blindsided by this, and could only try to do what they could without commenting on the core issue. cord with rule reminders, and tolero with catching the bug report buried in the mass of flaming death, and trying to be helpful as always.

mad's satement..that was damage control, while the bomb was still going through its initial explosion, and even he seemed a bit .. at a loss.

I have an even better idea, contribute to making this system better sincei ts already implemented instead of turning your back on it.

I'm sorry but I don't believe there is anything they can do to make it work right in DDO.
PVP was implemented as well and the devs have stopped developing it in its infancy, which is good. They can do the same here and give the crafters something to grind with while teh rest of us enjoy dungeons and dragons how its meant to be played.

Crafting should be more of an option for people who enjoy doing these sort of mundane things. It should never be as powerful as getting rewards from running quests. I hope this crafting business is almost over and the developers can get back on task at making this game fun.

As usual the above is pure opinion. Just felt like sharing.

Well, although I agree to a certain extent, the crafting system needs to have usefulness if I'm going to take part in it. Even having super nice low level twink gear for TR's already makes it worth the time to invest. The difference between this crafting system and pvp is that pvp has no link to running the actual game, while crafting may make that experience more efficient.
