This really is one of the mechanics I liked the most in the game, and it depresses me that it will become extinct. It seems that you should be required to be in a raiding guild to be able to craft, as well. I suppose this will also increase the frequency of certain raids on the LFM screen, but this seriously stinks.

    It is to much!

I think Turbine has made a mistake . Only a few crafters have capped and actually made those sick weapons. I do not think he devs realized how much grind and time those vets actually put into levelling up . How much plat they spent. how many items and shards they deconned. Somewhere along the lines they thought that hitting cap was easy because around a few dozen players have done it. But what about the other 99% of the game? The majority of players are not having a easy time levelling up!

Leave it the way it is on live. It is enough of a grind as is.

I do raid and run epics constantly, and I still think this is the most insanely dumb idea possible.

Obviously, Turbine thinks it's a good idea since it means people who want to craft will have to spend more money on adventure packs.

    I agree.

The decision makers should ask themselves what were they initially hoping the purpose of crafting for the players would be. I really doubt anyone will grind blindly to reach the desired crafting levels, to then have a miniscule chance of actually crafting something.

The only half-sense I can make of this is, if it's a marketing ploy: Want to craft GLOB? Buy Gianthold. But, that's what the special crafting ingredients should be here for (mystic bottle, broccoli, ...).

I don't think it would in any way be an exaggeration to say that this is the single worst change Turbine has ever tried to make to the game. Why would they put so much effort into developing this crafting system and then make it so no one wants to craft?...

This is a really really terrible idea and I do raid and run epics but I did not think that was what crafting was about. Come on lets face it those of us who do raid and run epics are only doing this crafting thing as a time sink.

The people who can truly benefit from crafting should not now feel they have to grind out raids just to make better gear..talk about your steps in the wrong direction or leaps I have a feeling this will be another topic I rant about soon cause this is going to make the crafting system useless for many who wanted a way to make better gear without having to do the farm of raids.

Yeah, what I meant was that with most changes there are at least a few players who will either agree that the change is good or at the very least say they don't see anything wrong with it and that people are overreacting. This is one of the only changes that I don't think would have the support of even a single player. And i would hope that would matter at least a little bit.

As others have stated, crafting added another aspect to the game. So players want to quest, some like to grind, some do epics, some craft, some raid, and of course some don't. This will make it so players HAVE to play a certain way, which really goes against how the game has been to this point.

I just saw Sirea's pictures.. who in their right mind would use a chattering ring to make a GHB weapon? Are there that many uber halfling mob bosses out there?

This has to be a practical joke if not what is being passed around the cafeteria there at Turbine HQ check the walls for toxic mold or something cause this is a terrible idea.

This implementation of crafting is seriously the most ill conceived and poorly thought out idea ever.

The fact that this has made it to Lam makes me wonder what the point of mournlands is. How the hell it's getting nearer to live servers scares the hell out of me.

This is 100% fail, i highly doubt you'll get a Single Player from your whole base who agrees with the new recipes at all.

I don't craft, i can't be bothered. but looking at the mats needed it's just outlandish.

Still i am sure those Halflings are happy now as no one will be crafting a bane item for them

    QFT

Most(read: all) of the major nerfs that have happened in this game had at least a few people who were ok with it, and many who could see why. This is just terrible.

I'm picturing the next round of this:

greater evil outsider bane shard = 120 small essences; 20 large essences; crafted epic red scale armor; 5 maralith chain scrolls; 2 epic spell storing rings; and a tasty ham.

Personally, I don't think they should use epic tokens or Shroud Mats.

I thought crafting was there for crafting useful stuff without using crafting matts from other crafting. If that makes sense.

I think requiring lots of hard to find collectibles should be good enough. As is, most of collectibles are useless anyways and some of them are extremely tough to find.

But because 10.1 changes are so extreme/stupid/unbalanced....
