10.1 crafting changes

I don't have access to Llama right now. Has anybody checked to see yet which shards will no longer be available in unbound form, and which ones have had their ingredient costs changed (and by how much)? The release notes sound very ominous - as if the high level shards didn't cost enough already.

Also, any word on the price for one of the new dragonshard crafting items that you have to buy from the vendors, and what they're used for?

I'm actually thinking the price increase will be a result of the change in how essences are generated in loot lists. Sounds like it will both 'undilute' them, increasing the chance for items, and also increase the number of essences. Thats my hope anyway.

I guess the price of +1 tomes will probs quadruple now. Cannot imagine anyone would be crazy enough to use a +3 tome. but who knows. lol.

Wow, those things are pricey. At least epic tokens can be used to buy them, which are easy enough to get. I hope the recipes don't call for a lot of purified fragments, or they better be good recipes. Otherwise nobody will ever bother with them.

Huh...

If this is the first step in the combining of cannith and epic crafting cool. If it's just a really expensive ingredient for normal higher level prefix/suffix crafting not so much.

Great... now people will be taking +4 tomes just to turn them into Eberron shards...

And Astral Diamonds?

1) no to selling loot in the store
2) aren't they sold in increments of 5? So people will be forced to overbuy them to turn them in 4 at a time? That seems like a remarkably greedy thing to do... assuming that there isn't a 1 at a time turn in.

On the plus side, at least I'll have a use for all those +1 tomes wasting space.

For a greater lawful outsider bane shard we now need a freaking large scale and a Dreamspitter with 15 eberron frags..

Holy geez..

I am to discouraged to look at other recipes atm . Seems they all need named items as well as frags and even shroud ing for certain ones. Took me 20 runs of piking to get my dreamspitter. I am not looking forward to feeding it to crafting machine.

As if new players didn't have enough of a hard time getting raid loot and tomes as it is. Now you have people taking the loot so they can destroy it in such a manner.

I'm glad I never got involved in this crafting system.

Do not go through with this patch!!!! You just made crafting way more grindy and almost to much to bear for most players..

Forget about ever rolling on a dreamspitter again folks. I am totally against using raid loot to craft with. If we need to use random raid loot then no one will ever put anything up for roll again. just in case we need it for future crafting.

Very not cool.... Not to mention totally sticking it to new players who may be looking for +1 tomes on ah for cheep. The price will quadruple for +1 tomes. This may detour the newer players a bit.

I honestly thought the grind to craft heavy weps and items was enough. We did not need to make it even more insane for the casual player. I consider myself a player who is beyond casual. I play a lot.. I have crafted my ass off. spent all my plat . ground out items to deconstruct and so on. Yet i am only at around level 62 in all 3 crafting categories. I think this is the wrong way to go about crafting..

Can't say i am to encouraged to go even further into cannith crafting at this point. /shrug

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if they took out the banes and holy since everything else they do to crafting seems bent on destroying unbound crafting as a source of profit.

More likely it's the ultra cheap recipes that got taken out

Well can you now make items/weapons that are beyond level 20? Is that what these new recipes are? Some sort of means to add to the properties without upping the level?

Check out the crafting feedback thread. Someone linked the majority of the ing used in the most common recipes..

Apparently The chattering ring is used for greater halfling bane ? A few named items from invaders are also used for certain bane shards. Even a silver flame healing potion is used for holy burst now. I did not check on lamaland for other banes. logged out as soon as i saw the dreamsitter. Although after seeing that i trust the player in other thread has correct info.
