    Sucks that it will be in place for a while, but such goes the software deployment cycle. It's still a little embarrassing this even made it past a whiteboarding/brainstorming session.

    Mad thanks for responding...but DONT RELEASE THE PATCH if you cant fix it first. IT WILL KILL CRAFTING WHEN PEOPLE SEE THIS...EVEN IF YOU ARE GOING TO FIX IT.

    JUST WAIT ON THE PATCH TILL YOU CAN UPDATE IT CORRECTLY!

    Will you please in the future run this kind of thing by us, or perhaps even have one of the forum moderators, (y'know, The guys that take a portion of our cash we pay the company, that explicitly get paid to look at this site all day) hold a conversation on things like this?

    It really is getting past the point of "whoops, lets see saw the other way" being an acceptable response.

    Edit...wow there was more to this post and it didn't take long to get changed. Okay I understand moderators but my request which thankfully wasn't for myself is still justified.

    Thank you MadFloyd. This is good to know at least, but I think I know what everyone in going to do concerning crafting: Craft like mad until the patch then not craft at all until a subsequent update when it is fixed again...

    I disagree that it will minimize the damages. I think it would just create a whole new set of issues.

    While it is nice to get devs responding to stuff like this, this line makes me wonder what the point of Lamannia is. If something which is called out on by hundreds of players on the first day of Lamannia can't be changed for upcoming patches, why bother even having a place to put the changes on before the actual servers. A system where the developers give a preview of upcoming changes but are unable to change the changes after hearing feedback from players seems pointless.

    I'll be interested in seeing how this all pans out. For now, I don't think I'll be putting any time into crafting. It's a shame, since the ingredients bag change was something I was looking forward to....

    Then delay, restructure, or cancel the patch.

    Delay it if you can take the time to rework this crafting snafu before it hits the Live servers.

    Rework the patch to selectively scalpel out this crafting snafu, and allow the rest to go Live.

    Cancel the patch if neither of the above can be done.

    But, I think it's time that somebody on the Dev team stands up for the Players and says **** the timetables - this needs to be fixed before it goes Live. Not fixed after.

    One of the dumbest moves Turbine has ever made...

    Now that you have established that raid loot items will be used in crafting, and we never know what existing named and raid loot items will be turned into important crafting componants later, everyone is stupid not to take every piece of named and raid loot for themselves and keep it - just in case.

    One of the best aspects of this game is the /roll for loot standard mechanic used in almost every raid where people freely give stuff away - and Turbine just killed that.

    Sorry, I need that chattering ring for crafting.

    Sorry, I don't have a Tharnes in storage yet just in case they turn it into a good crafting item later.

    Then there is the fact that you have BtC items required to do crafting... and most people are crafting on only 1 character (pretty much forced that way by the horrible grind of the system). So now you have to run your crafter through raids to grind for crafting ingredients? Really?

    Yeah...really dumb...on so many levels. Really makes you wonder if the dev who designed this plays the game.

    I have adjusted the crafting level to where it will be when the patch goes live. Sorry about the delay I was distracted by Mournlands.
    404error shows up in dev tracker. He may not be a developer by job title, but 'dev' is easier to type than 'Miscellaneous Official Turbine Representative'.
