Default How much is this viable?

I was wondering about have a toon with loot-dragonmark
Should be funny a lot to play with one of those toon
My plan is to TR my Sergarrick for the second time (first life: bard, second life: rogue) and add those feats to a new build
I was wondering how much is this viable and usefull in endgame contents (should be great to increase my chance to have a seal during farming eADQ etc).

But I dunno what to play -_- my first though was about a bard14/fight6 (so I can take back the feats wasted for the dragon mark) warchanter/kensai. Then I was thinking about a ranger tempest (I will almost gain all dps feats i need so will be easy to slot the dragonmark) maybe multiclassed with fighter too...

Again: race... Human should be good (1 more feat) but I could think even on a Horc if needed....

What do u think about that?
    Any suggestion?

Every time I've ever played with someone who has the loot dragonmark, they spend all of their time screaming at the party for opening chests before they can use the three feats they blew on the ability to bless a chest.

People are greedy and love instant gratification, so unless you play exclusively with friends and guildies who wanna stand around for 5 seconds at every chest, you'll be wasting the feats.

Ran a Tempest's Spine (because I have toons intentionally parked at level 10-ish just for that raid) recently, and the bard with the dragonmark of finding ended up ragequitting because no one would wait for him to bless the chests before they looted them. And that wasn't the first ragequit related to that shenanigans I have seen.

    None, none viable.

J/k, but I pretty much agree with BagelBites. Unless its a shroud farming toon that runs with a fairly static team who knows to wait for lootknocking you'll probably just get frustrated and wish you spent those feats on something worthwhile. Like Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Shuriken.

You saw a lot of these dragonmark folks when the feats were first introduced, but I think the frustration and barely noticeable loot increase has since caused them to become more rare than a repeater mechanic.

I have a bard with the 3 dragonmarks and a high charisma on my alt account. I built him specifically for piking to help my primary account get more and better loot, so he just exists to buff my other characters and the chests.

I don't even bother running him through a dungeon to buff the chests, though - the marks don't affect named loot, and that's the only thing worth worrying about.

So I just park him in the Reaver's Fate, and use his three attempts to buff the non-warded chests at the end.

Bottom line - the feats are not worth it, unless you enjoy not playing your toon.

Read this thread and decide for yourself if it's worthwhile.

I think if it's something you want to do, go for it. Keep in mind that some other folks just find it "annoying".

As much as it makes sense from a rp pov, it just doesnt work very well mechanically for a rogue. Classes with feats to burn sure, but rogues not so much.

I almost always play with a static friend group (and we are good player and a well assorted team)!
My idea was exactly to play this with em and use it to boost up my other toon
Even more if I can slot those feats in a toon that could be even usefull at all for party... much more better
