I, too, want to give my public thanks. Sent Persiflage the mats by mail, then just a few hours later, got the shards.

When crafting is working again will you still be offering this service?

Once the Ice Games are over, yes I will!
I'm currently farming the heck out of the Risia stuff to try and rebuild the fortunes I shattered with crafting. I'm no longer going to be making any attempt to level my crafting, it's now too ludicrously difficult to level above where I am already, but I will continue to make what I can for people who want it.
Naturally, if any recipes now require rare ingredients (like Vampirism requiring the Locus of Vol), you're gonna have to either supply the rare stuff or pay what it costs me to get it. Altruistic, I do, but I'm henceforth trying to avoid the financial suicide-by-inches that was occurring previously

Robobjorn, is the real deal. I hung out with him last week in the crafting hall for an half hour, he crafted me Two +4 Holy Khopesh's of Evil outsider bane and a Great axe of the same for just the base items and the shard ingredients, no extra cost. I handed him over a bunch of greaters and he told me outright when i had given him too much.
Outside of not taking advantage of me, I am unleveled in crafting, but have several Trs and 6 capped toons, he was a pleasure to hang out with during that time. He's a fabalous guy and i doubt his goal is to take advantage of noobs. If there is anyone with an agenda here its the person who's posting these sly remarks above me.

Unbound shards/bound shards.....
Tbh, id rather spend my time in game questing then crunching **** in the crafting hall and as such have no crafting lvls or desire to make my own Better bound shards. Thus the +4 Holy of eosb's more then meet my needs.
You come in here and flame someone that is offering a free service to those interested. I know first hand from meeting the man that he is genuine and worthy of my time, you on the other hand, are the type of person i avoid and as such will comment no further.

While I have not had Robobjorn craft for me, I have bought Ice Ingreeds from him, and found his prices fair, and his honesty without question, as well as being pleasant and friendly.

After reading all the excellent remarks, I just have to ask. I have no idea how much this crafting thing takes but how much for a longbow that would suit an AA. I am thinking about best DPS for overall game rather than specific end bosses.
And since I am here, how much plat for a long sword of best DPS as well, also for a long sword of "grant me best survivability". I hope asking you this in an open forum has offended you. If you fell more comfortable, pm the answers.
I can pay in plat, or various itmes gained from farming.
Thank you very much for reading this.
PS please don't flame the noob
Ooooookay... Wow, where to start? First off, I'm no expert at arcane archers, having never played one (or even a character who bothers much with ranged attacks), so it might be best if you got some advice from other parts of the forum as to the best weapon for general use. Now, please don't take this as gospel, but I get the impression from friends who DO play ranged characters that lootgen ranged weapons are vastly inferior to named drops from various quest chains at mid-to-high levels (not to mention greensteel); I wouldn't want you to waste your essences on something you could easily improve upon by running the right quest!
This, incidentally, is why I don't tend to offer advice on what you *should* get unless it's a subject I feel I know a reasonable amount about, i.e. I have at least capped a character with the same requirements and run some raids and/or Hard/Elite Amrath quests with such a toon. What I *will* say though is that there's not really any such thing as a "max possible DPS" weapon in all circumstances until you discuss exclusively fighting one type of mob/boss. AFAIK, greensteel weapons still give the best on-average DPS against the spread of opponents through the game; what Cannith crafting is good for is making weapons that are really good against *specific* bosses, like Harry or Velah.
Secondly, you haven't mentioned your level; most people asking for crafted stuff have capped toons (I guess because they know what they want and have the essences or plat equivalent to get it), but I don't want to assume that!
Again, there's really no such thing as a "longsword of best DPS". Ideally, you'd be using a +5 Something-Creature-Is-Vulnerable-To Burst, Appropriate-Metal-Type Longsword Of Greater Thing-You're-Fighting Bane... but such generically useful properties have inexplicably failed to appear in the lootgen tables to date and certainly can't be made through Cannith crafting. I believe there might be one or two named weapons that have both the Aligned and Metalline properties and as such are almost guaranteed DR-breakers (some stuff has slashing, piercing or bludgeoning DR), but even these aren't likely to be the "best DPS" in any given circumstance.
As for longsword of "best survivability", I really don't think you should be looking to your weapons to help you survive, other than by "killing stuff faster so it has less time to hurt you". You've got a whole bunch of body slots available to allocate to equipment that will help keep you on your feet, and I'd suggest that you start planning what you want in those
Which weapons and items will give YOUR toon the best DPS and survivability are also very much dependent on YOUR build... Think about it for a second: if there were any such thing as a "weapon of best DPS" and an "item of best survivability", everyone would get them and nobody would use anything else! The marketplace forums would be pretty darn quiet too
Offended? Good grief no! I would suggest, however, that queries about which weapons and other equipment you ought to be using are directed either to the new player forums, or to the forums dedicated to the class or classes you're playing.
Wouldn't dream of it, I'm not terribly far from noob-hood myself!
Good luck with working out what you need, and by all means hit me up if you want any items crafted when you've settled on a plan.

Bjorn rocks, just so you all know. He has made a couple Holy Silver Khops of EOB and is also making a couple Anarchic Burst Khops of Construct Bane.
He is fair, responsive, and helpful. If this were ebay, I'd totally be giving him an "AAA++++ Would Buy again from this Seller".
I highly recommend this method for gearing your toons. For much less than the cost of 1 Tier III Min II Greensteel item you can have a whole array of gear that does better DPS and covers a much wider range of situations.

Yeah, Honest Bjorn's is great, just crafted some stuff for me, really easy to work with.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the props
One word of warning though, as Mr. DDOTalk and I are discovering it can sometimes be awkward meeting up when you're in wildly different timezones... I'm in the UK: online a lot and I can make arrangements to be on super-late if need be, but what with family commitments and this "real life" stuff people keep telling me I should try, it's not always possible for me to meet at specific times!

Amazing job Bjorn is doing.
I couldn't find a good place to slot my greater evocation, and I had no idea if it could be done or how.
And here Bjorn comes, explains me how it can be done, and he crafts it for me, for free !
I provided the essences for it, and what did it cost me? 22 platinium to buy the Dust of disjunction !
Thanks again.

What is your % on a 107 Greater Evocation Focus unbound shard? I'd like to look at getting one of those. But don't have a large number of essences, so not sure if it's a viable % yet for 'guaranteed' success
Most likely have to mail, as not sure of time-zone syncing up. Etc.

PM sent to you in response to yours a fair while ago. I'd appreciate hearing back from you when you have time.
Ah, my sincerest apologies. My inbox has been pretty much a blizzard of messages the past couple of weeks, I'm very sorry you went unanswered. I'll get to it right now!
Crime in multi-storey car parks: it's wrong on so many levels.
thank you for the response. I'm sure I have the materials to make it based on the current recipe. I'll have to look for you in game, hopefully timezones will match.
Or is it viable just to sent materials via mail and it can all be done via that. To save on any issues of timezones.
I've course I wouldn't want you out of pocket for any materials, even if you failed.
