    Default Strangest Guild Loot Rules

So I was running VON on Cannith was a...ahem...Naruto Themed Guild last night.

Halfway through pt5, one of the guy explains the guild loot rules for guild runs, which are:

    1) All Named Loot gets passed to the newest player
    2) That player then passes out loot based on alphabetical order (alphabetical by class, then alphabetical by player name--one of the players threatened to switch to a Barbarian named "Aardvark").

Has anyone else had any experiences with really weird loot rules in guild runs?

No.. but whatever you get is your choice to do with.. they cannot make you pass your loot to them, screw that.

And honestly they had no right to tell you that in the middle of the raid, if they told you before you joined then you had a decision... but in the middle of the raid I would just be like.. ''yeah you guys do what you want with ur loot, but whatever I get im keeping''.

Rough time to layout rules, as you are in quest and cannot be booted.

I would suggest that you just do whatever you want with your own loot, then leave. If they don't like it, who cares? I certainly wouldn't group with them again with those rules.

I'd be really surprised if the guild with those loot rules wasn't just kidding around and the OP missed the joke and took them seriously.

    I haven't, yet.

Edit - Changed my answer so I'm referencing only myself rather than appearing to speak for all.

Once upon a time, I was part of a team, and we saved some children. That was long ago and far away, and, yes, I am that old.

it just sounds like a fun way to add a twist to the raid, like the shroud roulette where the highest roller gets everyones ingredients

well, that is certainly a new one. I've heard of self involved guilds, but yeah, its sounds a lot more like shroud roulette than a standard loot policy. although, i would hate to be on a wizard with the name 'Zandar' or some such
