    Default Request - Half-elf rogue 32 pt Khopesh

    I am aware half-elf is probally not the best race for rogues and I am also aware halflings add nice bonus to SA damage (and they are cute), but still I want to test half-elf and try a new rogue. My str-based is gimped and I want to try a new one.

    Here goes a few questions I have:

    • Which dilettante is the best one for a rogue? Everything seems to push towards barbarian 'cause it provides HP and rage use. I'm not really into wasting 6 points into CHAR so i can take cleric. I know the UMD will be higher but still those points could go in CON or INT.

    • Is pure rogue a good choice? I mean, the DPS of a STR-based pure rogue with khopesh is probally the highest in the whole game, but what about it's survivability? And if I splash, which class should I take? (keep in mind that since I'm not DEX-based I'm not gonna reach a decent AC for epics anyway, so I'm not really worried about it)

    Some info about what I can provide to this lovely rogue:

    • +2 DEX and INT tome, the rest I still need to work on.
    • GS equips, not tier 3 yet, but still.
    • Monk splashes.
    • 32 pt build.

    The stats I plan to be those:

    STR 16
    DEX 15
    CON 16
    INT 12
    CAR 8
    WIS 8

    Feats
    Toughness
    Two Weapon Fighting
    Oversized Two Weapon Fighting
    Power Attack
    Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    Improved Critical: Slashing Weapons
    Greater Two Weapon Fighting

    The khopesh prof doesn't fit in there so i might have to splash fighter.

    And wow your perfect for using rapiers.
    Drop OTWF or go Human if you MUST have Khopesh.

    As Far as Helf Dilly Barb or Barb or Barb are good choices.
    Ftr is good if you want to use more weapons.
    Every other Dilly NO stats for them or practical use.

    The only reason Halfings go 16 is because that is all the Higher they can go 18 Str is where you want to be. 18/15/14/10/8/8


    You dont splash into Rogue it is a heavy endowment or nothing. 1 lvl of splash Kills the capstone(read DPS).

    As they have said, do not splash fighter. Your best option is to take the -2 attack bonus from dropping Oversized Two Weapon Fighting and picking up khopesh proficiency.

    I'd also suggest going 18 Strength / Dexterity 15 / Con 14 / Int 10. You can survive on 23 less skill points and hit points, but that's partly just preference. You could bump up the Con to 15 on a TR and take Greater Human Adaptability: Con. You could also do that right now if you wanted to really skimp on skill points and take 8 INT (not such a bad idea, forces you to think harder about the relative value of each skill).

    The second build could start with cleric dilly to use divine wands & scrolls, then swap to monk once her UMD is high enough. Can also drop CE for khopesh; don't forget to take IC Slash instead of Pierce in that case.

    You could combine the Black Lotus with half-elf Barb to have an awful lot of HP and an awful lot of DPS. You can turn OTWF/Khopesh into Quickdraw, and then another Toughness from Monk. Monk attack speed is so ridiculous that you can end up getting ahead of the pure khopesh rogue against 50 fort bosses.
