Going to mention that you also get spellpoints based on how many levels you take in a class. This may seem obvious... unless you multiclass. (Don't multiclass this build...)
Sorcerer get the most with 100 spellpoints per level, along with Favored Soul. Wizards and Clerics get 50 per level. These four classes get an extra 80 spellpoints at the first character level (non-repeatable). Some classes, such as Paladin and Ranger, start gaining spell points at later levels, in odd numbers.
You get spell points from your CHA modifier also. For every +1 you have, you get 10 at the first level and 1 at every additional level. For example, at level 3 with +4 CHA modifier (18 CHA) you'd get 48 spell points from that modifier. These spellpoints are "retroactive" if you find ways to boost your CHA later, even from items and temporary effects such as guild buffs. (One of many reasons to carry the best +CHA item you can.)
