I know that I'm pretty much a complete unknown to most folks that frequent the forums, but I happen to be someone who leads Shroud runs to completion on about 8 toons every 3 days, fairly consistently.
My LFMs usually fill quite fast, most often with familiar names & voices, all of whom bring their great play & senses of humor. I am not too often cursed with a bad/ignorant player, thankfully.
I happen to use a catchphrase in my Shroud LFMs: 'Completion for the needy; DDoor for the greedy!'
For particulars, I'll precede that with the likes of 'Healers for the bleedy' or 'Casters so we're speedy', etc.
I feel it conveys the goal while simultaneously telling people that it is me leading it, even if they might not know that particular toon of mine. I receive /tells all the time commenting on the LFM.
Anyway, over the last week or so, my wife & I have noticed a sudden increase in the use of my little catchphrase in Shroud LFMs.
Can people not come up with original phrases, or does absolutely everything in this game have to be some form of copy/paste?
Honestly, my only concern with this is that people might join one of these runs, thinking it's me leading... and find out that the imposter is a better leader than me! :P
I see the same thing with other players & their LFMs. Things like 'Easy peasy lemon squeezy', etc.
I couldn't imagine using that in one of my own LFMs, as it's definitely an associative catchphrase for that particular player...
Thoughts?
