EADQ1 Scroll drop rates ... nerfd??

I have solo run the first room 20 times in past 3 days, 40 kills ave per run, not a single scroll, (got two seals tho inc Mari chain from Scorp chest)

Also ran with full party last night and completed, not a single scroll, 3 shards in end chest.

Really bad luck or has the scroll drop rate been nerfd for this quest ?

Bad luck. Last two times I ran it 3 and 4 scrolls dropped.

The information I have seen indicates that scroll drop rates are (roughly) 1/600 for each party member. If you are soloing and have (around) 800 kills, you would therefore expect (about) 1.3 +/- 57 scrolls. 0 is a reasonably likely measurement of this.

For a full party, you would expect an aggregate scroll drop rate of 1/100. Not sure how many kills you go for in a full eADQ, but 0 is in all likelihood a reasonably likely measurement of that as well.

That is totally wrong. Solofarming I definitely average 1-2 scrolls per 100 kills. Doesn't matter if it's Wizking, Chronoscope or Into the Deep.

That average is from thousands and thousands of solo kills.

My experience as well. A few guildies have commented that ADQ1 seems to be "off" with drop rates recently. I'm interested to see if others from Cannith have had scrolls dropping for them in the last week or two from ADQ1.

Yes zero can be just bad luck ..... but generally .... you don't get bad luck night after night. If somethings "off" then hard facts help rather than opinions and calculation. Any1 else confirm adq1 scroll drop rates in past 2 weeks?

Yes, I recall farming adq1 for scrolls recently. Two dropped in one run where we herded the mobs into the scorpion pit - I think there were less than 100 mobs killed.

I'm sorry I can't be more specific than that but they do drop in there.

There are less than 100 monsters in the whole bottom level. Only 20-30 if you gather up the effreets from the main room and dump them in the hole.

And don't get me wrong ... Ive historically pulled many scrolls from DQ1 as have guildies. I know they did drop at rates being mentioned ... trying to validate if recently anything has changed.

Yes, both were within a week, one was a complete run and the other one we just got the seals, ppl was out of sp too soon, still 3 scrolls dropped (2 on the same caster). And I almost forgot a run with Ryumajin, I think 1 or 2 scrolls dropped in that run too. So, its like 3 run and never a "blank" one.

I experienceing bad numbers too and I found this tread...

I farm ADQ1 with my fvs 3-4 times every day and sincerely I have to admit the scroll drop rate have something strange. I know percentage have to be extrapolated from very big numbers (my statistic exams at university teached so), so I stareted to count runs/scrolls and my last result is:

16 runs for 42-45 kills every run that leads to 680-700 kills and only 1 scroll dropped.

Before these weeks the % was more likely 1% where I was able to find 1-2 scrolls every 3-4 runs (3 scrolls dropped in a single run too).

Anyway (unless they changed this rule) Sirgog is right as 99,9% of times. The scroll drop rate isn't influenced by numbers of members in a party and drop rate should be near 1% as expressed bya a dev a lot of time ago.

Then i got 3 scrolls in less then 30 kills

Where the heck are you getting +/- 57 ? Have you ever seen 57 scrolls drop after 20 runs ?

The standard deviation is ~1.15. A 95% confidence interval is only ~2 sigma.

I run dq1 nearly everyday & get 0-3 scrolls out of the ~150mobs in it.
~1% drop rate sounds really appropriate.

Real nerf: the scrolls i get are 100% useless trash

Your experience has been different than other reports I have seen from people who seem equally trustworthy and diligent. Either you are average and they are spectacularly unlucky or you are somewhat lucky and they are somewhat unlucky, and the second seems more plausible to me.
