Talking Drow weapon enchancement line worth it?

I'm thinking of making a Drow TWF pally they seem to be decent and have enough points where I need them. I ran into a road block in the character planner in the form of Drow weapon enchancement line v.s. Khopesh preficiency. My question is which give the higher DPS in the end run for this spec.
    Thank you for your time.

It's really close. The question is which do you prefer, spending a feat, or spending 6 AP (with 2-6 more for more tohit if needed)?

Khopesh do pull ahead the more damage you have per swing, but they're within a couple points of damage average per swing as of 30Str +5 HolyBurst weapons.

And as a Paladin, the larger crit range of the Rapier means crit smites more often, although they won't be as large as the khopesh can dish out.

Paladins can be AP starved depending on what you're doing with them and they are definitely feat starved. Personally, if I was going drow then I would stick with rapiers and then get a couple of epic Cutthroat's Blades for everything but devils and demons. If you really want to use khopesh then be a human instead.

For my girl, the Rapier line costs a Feat less than the Khopesh line and if you're playing Drow, another Toughness Feat can be useful. If you happen to already have Chaosblades to dual-wield, I'd recommend 20 Paladin. Otherwise, a 2-Monk splash means two extra Feats plus Evasion.

It depends on gear and build. Because Divine Sacrifice only takes critical threat into account, paladins aren't as far behind with rapiers compared to khopeshes as other classes. Smites are an odd case, in that they favor khopeshes for ranks 0-3 of Exalted Smite and break even for rank 4, but they never favor the rapier.

It won't make a huge difference either way.

Short comparison: khopesh > rapier w/drow enhs, but not by much; using up a feat vs using up APs (both are in short supply); vorpals vs Banishers; Hooked Blade vs Turbulent Epee.

To be honest, I think it's as much about personal preference as anything else; there are pros & cons to either approach. Here are two builds for comparison:

My tempest is a drow...I love the extra ooomf I get from the weapon enhancement lines myself.

Being a Paladin and Drow I would probably just go with SS and Rapiers and spare myself the feat......Paladins need a lot and only get a little to play with as far as feats go....then again the same can be said for their enhancements and you would save 12 points if you went Khopesh.

Drow is the cornerstone of my Ranger/Monk Shuriken Master, aside from all the awesome named shuriken of course.

    Enhancement: Paladin Exalted Smite IV

    Questions:
    1) Should I been taking Divine Righteousness over putting in ranks in Intimidate or just have them both?
    2) Does vampirism on a weapon gain benefit from Human Improved Recovery?

    1) if you want to be a tank, both is probably better future-proofing (you can get the +threat from intimidating, but not the full "grab aggro", even with low skill... you may not have high skill now, but you could get the gear eventually so it may be useful). it looks suspiciously like you're taking some skill points in heal; this is a terrible idea. put them someplace more useful instead. UMD would actually be my suggestion.

    2) yes. sort of. you'll need more than just human improved recovery, because 30% of 3 (the max from vampirism) will get rounded down to 0. but, if you have a few other sources of healing amp as well, you will benefit.

Probably one of the few good things about Drow is that they use so little AP for racial enhancements. Plenty of AP for class enhancements!

Think of all the AP's you could spend as a Wizard...
