    Question Tring my sorc soon

    So I plan to TR my sorc soon, and I'm thinking about rolling her as a wiz for my 2nd life. I have a few questions though.

    Is it best to go 1rogue/19 wiz or just straight wiz?
    Far as a spec goes, I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with her, I know palemaster is the big thing, but what about prelevel 12? Is it true that zombie and vampire are not good to use?

    Thanks for any help you can give, I'm at work so I can't post a build, but I will do one once I'm home.

    As far as rogue levels go, if you're taking them take 2 for evasion.
    A wiz/rogue plays a lot different than a sorc though.

    I just hit into my 2nd month of playin the game, and this sorc is my first toon. So what would the difference be from a sorc to a wiz?

    Sorcs are pretty much a DPS class when against to Wizzies.. Wizards mostly be busy about DCs while Sorcs burn or what ever nuke r handy is... for Wizards starting with charm, hold, even later prestige SLA's are about DC for half damage or effect at all, like Neg level from Necrotic bolt. Lesser SP pool and more spell selections makes wizards look for spells can be handy with longer, greater effects on Mobs abilities... this puts em after DCs... and its actually all about their difference.. Sorcs try to kill more and faster wizards try to Cripple longer better ...

    This also can be an answer for your first question I guess.. having a Pure wizard gives great advantage about DC having Wizard capstone with +2 Int and discount all meta magics for 1 SP which really useful with heighten. Also for Spell penetration checks, your Caster Level indicates to your final score which means how many Class Level you have for spell you are casting

    as said wiki;

    "1d20+caster level+spell penetration bonuses (Includes Feats, Enhancements, and Items.) "

    While having higher DC you have to be able to Pass their Resistance to affect Mobs

    Still having a trap capable Wizard great fun but can be fire-back

    Both past lives are worth the trouble for either class.
    A wizard is painfully slow compared to sorcerers. You'll miss the speed and efficiency.

    Compare with Sorc Wizard is very slow. Double cast time and cast animation, longer coldowns. Additional less SP pool.

    But you have additional 5 feats, possibility to learn and cast any spell in game and you can change spells easily in tavern or rest shrines.

    Pale Master is nice from the 6 level. Zombie form is very good for that level. You will gain immunities and selfheal ability. Vampire shroud is nice only in quest where there is no priest inside (you will be suffer 4x more damage from light spell)
