When the heck did these things like quadruple in price? I paid 1M plat for one, and 5 devil scales for another, and on the later I thought it was a bit much. Any TR will have archmagi at level 13, and at least on all my casters 5-13 go by so fast I barely make much use of my stones, especially with craftable trinkets with so much awesome potential.

The Vibrant Ion Stone is not useless people, it's very very good, it's only useless AFTER i have sold you one for about 10 red's.

Sorry, because I love the drama Triaja created and since so many people takes this thread at heart. I feel like to give my opinion nobody cares about.

Vibrant Purple Ioun Stone is the best trinket in slot at LVL5 for a CASTER. Not only because for his archmagi but the spell penetration is quite awsome to have.

I'm not selling any of my ioun stones (Lavender/Vibrant) unless somebody is ready to pay out crazy for it. Only because we do KNOW they're the best trinkets at LVL5. Dont tell me gear doesnt matter at this level. When ya double TR and dont wanna loose time to PUG with people and want solo all q's in a decent ammount of time gear is crucial at any step and some of us are ready to pay the right price to have the best piece in slot at level.

A decent twink weapon not the best. I've got a couple Keen Falchion of pure good min lvl4 in my bank. With Icy burst ready to trade them for a red dragon scale. Trust me once you'll play with that you'll forget carnifex quickly and wonders why you never thought of it before!

Anyway you're comparing apples with carrots. I was mainly speaking for Vibrant/Lavender ioun stone as best trinkets in slots at lvl5 till lvl20 in the game... and you come back with "Carnifex is the best weapon for a Level 4 melee to have for a few levels, " Which is BTA, also a QUEST REWARD and not even the best weapon at lvl4.

You seem to pass out the concept of "Supply and Demand" also called rarity.

Yes optimally the +1 keen of good falchion does slightly more damage. However

Falchion attacks slower than greataxes (or did this change?)
Not all mobs are damaged by ice (although most at the low levels)
Not all mobs are damaged by good (well errm pretty much all are)
Carnifex has +2 to attack, your falchions have +1. If that makes one more hit, carni comes out ahead
Carnifex has better glancing blows
Greataxes have longer reaches

So personally I would say yes carni beats the keen falchions of good (unless Elf) Also, you can find those falches for less than 30k from time to time on the AH ^^ Add cost of icy burst and I would still say a red scale is vastly overpriced. Personally I would prefer to icy burst a +1 keen of righteousness but haven't found one yet.

Really? Best for leveling? I'd rather get the +5% XP from Voice of the Master while leveling...Granted, I can get that from the Mantle of the Worldshaper.

But once I hit level 13, why wouldn't I just get my archmagi from Bracers of the Glacier and free up my trinket for Voice and my Cloak slot for something else awesome?

But the biggest thing: twink gear isn't worth 10 reds. Period.
