Not a huge achievement, I know (suprise! Warforged arcanes can self heal!), but it felt pretty good to complete, and I was honestly a little surprised that I pulled it off. Only Normal, I'll try Hard at some point I guess, but I'm mostly interested in completions to get another shot at Torc (30 tries last life gave nothing).
I had one minor hiccup soloing ADQ1 when my comp died, but I relogged within the 5 minutes, so I didn't have to start over. But I figured, hey, dungeon scaling does crazy things, the raid will be the real test. And wow was it ever.
The first time I died pretty quick, I was just not prepared for how much incoming damage I had to deal with, and I was too slow with the quickened Reconstructs. I also forgot to activate my Mending clickie. And I was hit with Demonic Drain like 5-6 times, it was brutal. So I figured I'd re-ship buff and give it another go, hopefully learn a bit more this time. To my surprise, I completed it! You can actually see in guild chat where I died and got ready to go again.
I brought along a bunch of regular Mnemonic pots, but didn't remember to drink any. I should have used one at the end, just in case, but I was too busy trying to stay alive and keep Niac's stacked now that Lailat had Become Destruction. I had 2 negative levels at the end, which was manageable.
For defensive gear, I didn't have a Torc or a Docent of Defiance, but I did have:
Blood Rage
Greater Spearblock
Axeblock
Lifeshield
Demonic Shield
Concordant Opposition
Earthen Guard
And a ton of hp. No Toughness feat yet, but I did have GFL, +Con, shroud 45 HP, Pirate Vitality, Guild Augment, Yugo pot, ship buff, etc. I walked in to the fight with ~330 hp!
DR and temp hp were amazing, as was Quickened Reconstruct. There were at least 3 times where I thought I was dead, but the Recon was fast enough.
Hilariously, this ended up being a bit of a speed run, since I was pretty much stuck with kill or be killed. It felt like much longer than 4 minutes, though.
Screenies!
Victory!
Damage is still scrolling by:
Only 4 minutes! It felt like an hour.
