    Looks like it'll be good.

Not to mention, it's coming on my birthday.

Ah well, I know it airs next week.

To tell you the truth I'm not looking forward to it. I'll watch, but I remember what happened when the Americans got their hands on Doctor Who and I'm expecting something equally bad to happen to Torchwood.

And will it really be Torchwood with only Jack anyway? *sad*

    1) Jack & Gwen.
    2) Blame Fox and Britainia's own Mr. Murdoch for the eighth Doctor, not America.
    3) Anything with Captain Jack in it will be awesome.

What's her name is in it, too. And I saw British landscapes, so not all in the USA.

    Bleh, Starz.

We'll watch. I have to say John Barrowman does a fantastic American accent. What was that short-lived BBC supernatural show about the kid that inherited his father's legacy of critter-hunting...Demons...the father's friend helping him out...who was also in Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, Philip Glenister, who was supposed to be American but had the most awful American accent. I could tell that he was very intentionally not inflecting, he used a very deliberate monotone...it was bad.

Well, that apparently occurred during one of your breaks (or mine), so I could safely ignore it and rely on Netflix.

On reflection, we've come a loooooong way .... I may actually still have betamax copies of Doctor episodes somewhere.

Cable for what? Cable internet to stream it? Don't you have that already to play DDO?

We must live in different worlds then. If it's not out and about BEFORE the release date, I'd be surprised. Plus, I have Netflix, which has an affiliation with Starz that gives us Starz Instant Play, so I'm hoping it will be on there quite quickly, since the "currently playing" movies ad shows are available to stream instantly pretty much all the time (seems to update every few weeks or each month, not really sure on the time table).

Either way, I'm sure you'll be able to see it without having Cable television sometime close to the release date. It's a mini-series/extra season, anyway, so the whole set will take a few months at least to complete. If it's good, maybe it will be a regular thing and the show will be resurrected on Starz. THEN, I might consider getting it. But getting it just for one mini-series? Meh. I have the internet.

    Three things:

    1) I have Netflix (see above), so yay!
    2) You have no idea what I spent on AoC on release; the pittance cable TV would cost for a year? Pffeh!
    3) You are interrupting my flirting with The Doc; exactly how much punishment you deserve I leave up to you, so long as it is prolonged, agonizing, and involves stainless steel clamps...with spikey bits....and bees.

    Good day, sir!

John Barrowman is American by birth. Born on the old American base in Scotland, raised in (I think) Ohio, moved to England (I beleive he had a dual citizenship). THe american accent is is real. Besides I have seen him inseveral interviews.
