Well... I remember some days ago I got neg rep because I said something about bad grammar of somebody (who actually was being very rude in his comments).
I just think that the people here a little trigger happy with the neg rep.
Yes, English is not my native language, anyway I will try to write better, I was in a hurry as I wrote that.

My point is that if you are going to be stickler about factual correctness, your delivery should also be correct.

As far as the neg rep is concerned, I wouldn't worry about it.
