    Default 32pt. 13 rogue/7 monk Hling *Critique appreciated!*

    I know this is posted in multi forums as well but I figured I'd get more views if I posted this here. Apologies if that's not okay.

    Here's my next shot at a rogue monk combo. It's a short sword using backstabbing evasive trapmonkey. He'll be lacking a bit in the dps department but he'll have solid AC and saves.

    I don't think I met the prereqs for improved evasion (mainly because I don't know what they are). Can anyone throw me a bone?

    Skill points would be in disarm, spot, search, open lock, concentration, balance, umd, and extra points in jump, hide and move silently. I was too lazy to put them on the planner

    I meant to fit in power attack but there were too many feats I wanted. Which feat should I get rid of?

    Improved evasion is a bonus feat that requires 10, 13, 16, or 19 levels of rogue. You get to choose it at one of those levels with no other prereqs needed.

    Skill points are actually a point of contention for me on a build like this.
    Rogue and monk share quite a few skills, with the exception of search and dd. If you stagger a few rogue levels in there, like 2 monk then 1 rogue then 2 more monk, you'll get much more milage out of your skill points by only raising class skills at levels. Your trap skills will falter a little bit each level and then max out again, then fall behind then max out again. It saves you something like 14 skill points overall, which will be huge, or 21 if you do the same with UMD, which is more then many classes get at creation.

    As to PA: You could swap it for the second toughness, but really there's no need for Weapon Focus, so that should be the one to go.

    Note that the only tome which is actually required is +1 STR for Power Atk. I include Stunning Fist & IC Blunt to use handwraps as well as short swords; SF is useful to MCed monk builds now that its DC is based on char lvl rather than monk lvl. But they can be dropped if you plan to use blades exclusively.
