    Default Frenzied/Kensei/Tempest

Has anyone made one of these and if so, how did it turn out?

I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time. Currently, he is BarbFB-6/Fighter-3/Ranger-1 and he is awesome. Self healing(with wands) and great HP and DPS. He solos quests and wilderness areas that some of my other toons had trouble with. In the end he will be dualing khopeshes. Aside from 36 point TR or +4 tomes that some builds are based on, I want to know what some people have done to really make this build work out. With equipment, his str/dex/con are all around 20, and his int/wis are in the 12-14 range. I'm not a power leveler, so he won't be capped for another 6-8 months, but I do like to take notes and prepare.

Any advice would be appreciated, any criticism will most likely be ignored. Thank you.

Not to criticize but I think there aren't any builds like this because the good part from eachPrE comes at the 2nd teir. Tempest gains % chance of offhand kensai gets +8 str boost and FB gets the bonus to crit multi( although nomad frenzy is a solid dps boost). All of the first tiers are kinda meh. Not to say it couldnt be done I do not think it would be optimal.

As you've already gone 6 barb/ 3 ftr/ 1 ranger i think your best split would be 12 ftr/ 6barb/ 2 ranger. Obviously it depends on what you want out of the build but in terms of dps i think this is the best route to go.

If you want to go TWF you need to have at at least 15 base dex to qualify. A +2 dex tome can be used to get you to 17 base dex to pick up ITWF and GTWF. 2 ranger will give you TWF for free, but you need 17 dex to get the rest. Without GTWF you're better off going THF

Edit: i found two builds on the forum with the same 12 fighter/ 6 barb/ 2 ranger split, one THF (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=296001) and one TWF (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=326484). You haven't given much information about your toon other than your current class split so its hard to say how applicable these are but i think they're worth a read regardless.

I'd also recommend you use the character planner (http://www.rjcyberware.com/DDO/DDOCharGen392.zip) to plan the rest of your build.

    Default Thank You

    What I was looking to make is a raging dual khopesh wielder. So I figured barb/ranger, but I needed more feats so I added fighter. I checked them for free feats, what enhancements they got and when. This is what I decided and why;

Barbarian 6, for Rage and HP. Easy enough.
Fighter 8, for 4 bonus feats and access to 3 ranks of toughness.
Ranger 6, for 2 fav enemies, diehard, 2weap/imp2weap.

With the amount of levels each, I decided to take the Pre's for the extra's; +10% off hand, frenzy, etc.
I Started with a 17 dex, good str and con. I planned on using the fighter feats for khopesh, oversized offhand, and Greater 2weap(after I get the first two for free). It looks good in my head. At 11th level I have all the required feats and enhancements available for the Pre's.

I do want to thank alex301 for the build suggestions, they were helpful. And thanks to alkot, if the Pre's were my initial goal, the second teir is where the goodies are, but being that they are just icing on the cake for me I think I'll finish him. I'm not ignoring your suggestions, but reading that there may not be many builds like this, kind of gives me a little satisfaction. My self healing, buffing, raging, dual khopesh weilding, terror of a halfling might be unique... cool!

In my opinion, Tempest I isn't worth taking 3 near-useless feats for.

You may want to consider Barbarian 7/Fighter 7/ranger 6; Barbarian DR boost 3 (12/-) is pretty sexy.

Kensai II and fighter haste boost IV are the way to go. Go 12 fighter 6 barb and 2 ranger.

    I had a Elvin AA that I tr'ed into a Horc.

His levels are 12 fighter( kensai 2), Ranger 6 (tempest 1), and rouge 2.

I took the ranger levels for Many shot. (I have a lit2 gs bow that I continue to use)

My melee weapons are dual kopeshes.

    Seems to work just fine...
