    Default reflex save DCs

I'm deciding between rogue splash pm wizard and pure wizard, for my 2nd life

This isn't meant to be the final life, just want to experiment a bit and get a wizard past life out of it

The question is, what reflex DCs are needed for higher level play to make evasion worth it?

My guesstimate is I could get into the low to mid 30s without working too hard or gimping my core wizard functions anymore.

Does anyone know the reflex DCs for the following situations?

    Epic traps
    Epic DQ blades
Epic DQ efreet delayed blast fball
    Elite shavarath caster/boss aoe
normal harry dbf and meteor swarm
    Epic chrono caster/flying devil aoe

If I remember correctly (can't find in compendium) there is a feat Insightful Reflex: which uses your Int for reflex instead of dex. As a PM this would be the best option for you.

If you're splashing rogue you can keep all rogue skills (search, spot, openlock, disable, and most likely umd) maxed. This will help you in soloing most quests since you are self healing and able to take those stinking traps out.

While i cant give you specifics i can say Trap Dc's on elite and epic are much higher then spell dc's.

Most people usually take evasion for the spell type dc's and leave the traps to the rogues or those with ultra high reflex saves like a pally rogue etc. I would say a mid 30 reflex save should be fine for most content.

If I was doing a WF wiz/rog, I would probably get one of those fleshcrafted docents upgraded with +10 reflex save from the U10 crafting, could probably get 40+ reflex saves when you swap it in. Not too shabby for an easy to get item.

Mechanical trap (whirling blades) in Ewiz king were 70 (confirmed like 6 months ago, dunno if they changed); most other traps in epic ranges around 45-50.
