    Default DT for a rogue

I'm making a DT for TR (into a rogue again. might be in a month or so).

I was thinking about: Resistance Save +5 (or Lionheart), Exceptional Constitution +1, Radiance Guard.
Other guildie suggest 10% healing amp, 20% healing amp.

I'm pretty new with the DT, what do u guys suggest?

Well I lost interest in dt's but for my rogue I had resistance +5, radiance guard and spell resistance(I didn't spend much time in making it) I upgraded to redscale later and the dt collected dust.

I like mixing Tharne’s goggles with the Tharne’s sovereign rune. (Remember: You only need 2 parts of the set to get all the useful bonuses.) The bracers are the weakest link of that set. You can then go with Radiance II as your greensteel Hit Point item.

Since you’re a rogue, Eldrich and Tempest runes are fairly easy for you to attain.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

I generally put resistance on my eldritch rune for my rogues. Rad guard is nice, especially for soloing. For damage guards I prefer the untyped damage guards, corrosive salt for tempest and disintegration for sovereign.

On my main rogue I have 3 dt outfits. All three have +5 resistance eldritch. One has 20% healing amp and destruction, mainly used in epics. Second has corrosive salt and disintegration; I wear this whenever I don't care if I'm getting hit, I know I'm going to get hit and the added untyped damage can boost dps. The last set has 20% healing amp and rad guard. I tend to wear this set most often and especially when I'm soloing.

Unless you need the +1 exceptional ability I would go with either healing amp or a guard, salt or crushing wave.

I have resistance +5, intelligence +6 and destruction on it.

I need resistance, and its the only spot atm where to put it.
I want to wear permanent full intelligence, for assassinate dcs etc.
Destruction is kinda nice, because you dont need to block a weapon slot for it. It compensates somehow the low bab for rogues, and if you use power attack it will be even more useful. Finally you help others to hit the target. Since i have epic cloak of night and assassins tod set, I dont need tharnes set for bonus.

The guards are quite nice, but using threat reduction and attack target unaware of you, you goal should be not to get many hits. The better your rogue style, the more useless the damage guards. Better use crowd control guards like earthgrab guard or dance guard.

I have a DT with Tharne's that I used until I got my Vulkoorim fighting leathers.

Farming specific sovereign runes is the most boring thing to do in the game. Prey on the hunter is too long and not challenging, and SoS is only challenging because of the clock.

If you really need the destruction effect on an armor, ask in guild chat and we will form a HoX run for you

I'm using one set with +5 resistance, 20% healing amp and radiance guard for normal questing,
and another set with +5 resistance, corrosive salt guard, ooze guard for boss fights (looking to get disintegration guard eventually).

As i plan to replace Tharnes Bracers with the epic scorched bracers i might put Tharnes on my boss fight DT to get the threat reduction when its really needed.

I'd say that it always depends on your other gear.

On my assassin i had 3 dts (well, 4 if counting the one with smiting on it but now it's rather useless). All had resistance +5, then heal amp/corrosive salt/heal amp and radiance/tharnes/tharnes respectively. Now that i'm staying at lvl 20 for some time i switched out resistance on all dts for heavy fort.

For TRing i'd recommend sticking to resistance +5/heal amp/radiance.

It depends on what the rest of your gear covers...

I don't use DT anymore so the one i keep is a 6int & +3 int skills swap.

Destruction or Radiance. I went with Destruction and a RadII HP item.

    Thanks for the replies.

    1) I do have rad guard gs HP item. I was quite sure it stack with the DT (for x2 chance), isn't it?

    2) Threat reduction, imho, is... nice. moreever, I'll be TRing and playing with a group.

    3) My gamestyle as a rogue is more like a barbarian. I'm charging away. Thats the main reason for the rad guard. and, imo, you better have the guard when you do get hit by something. sure, no one wanna get hit - but if you do, you better have a good guard. and for rogs I find the rad guard very useful. and, it has no save, unlike the other guards.

    4) My other geat:
    Head - Minos
    Goggles - Tharne's
    Armor - DT ?
Bracers - +6 CHA skills air gs / Tharne's (for undead ghosts) / Str
    Boots - Striding / FF
Rings - Katara Wit / Striding / FF / Con / Str (Kinda depends my other gear)
    Gloves - Charged Gauntlets
    Belt - Con / GFL
Cloak - +45 HP RadianceGuard gs
Neck - Silver Flame / Golden Cartouche
Trinket - Greater Stalwart Trinket / Voice

    1. Guards never stack(unless concord op item plus a weapon, I think)
    2. Threat reduction is nice(I often pull aggro from all builds with my 42 unbuffed str rogue with 60% less hate)
    3. I don't care much for radiance guard, it's more annoying then helpful but it can help when your on Orthon duty in tod.
    4. You don't have much gear wise but gear isn't that needed for a tr(just make sure u got a good set of gs weapons)

The others are correct. Rad Guards from different sources don't stack. In fact, no similar guards stack. The ConOp weapon/accessory stacking is actually a bug, and will likely get fixed eventually.
But Rad Guard and a Rad weapon will function independantly, which is probably why you thought the guards stacked, and it's also probably the reason that a ConOp incorrectly weapon stacks with an accessory.

    Think of it this way:
If you wear a +6 Ogre Power bracers, and +6 Ogre Power gloves, you only get the benefits of one of them. The same holds true for identically worded guards. So Rad Guard on your GS HP item, frees up your Sov Slot for something else.
I'd go with Tharne's for the ghost touch and threat reduction, or a DPS guard like Dust, or possibly an AC boost like Dodge or Insight if your build could actually use it.

Resistance 5, whatever, Destruction for nearly everything.

Resistance 5, whatever, Ooze Guard is a fine alternative; if anyone is having trouble hitting a boss, you just have to deliberately get hit. That's easy - most high AC bosses cleave.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

I agree with Destruction on Sov if you plan on running epics and wearing your DT during those epics. But if you're not planning on running epics with him then that Sov slot will essentially be wasted if you put Destruction there.... unless the wizard wants to melee but doesn't have DP clickies.

    Thanks for the reply!

I dont know if I'll do epics with it. It'll be mainly used after TR. (Depends if i'll get my gs leather by then)
I guess I'll put a DPS guard, and will change it for epics at lvl 20 unless i'll get my epic vulkoorim leather.
