My personal belief on 'Tanks': Tanks can range anywhere from S&B wearing heavy armor and using intim, to just straight using intimidate. But what do you really get from using intimidate? You sit there, soaking up mana from the healer who is healing you to just sit there and hold aggro. Why not be a contribution to your party and actually do DPS to gain aggro? That way you aren't just sitting there drinking your coffee clicking intim every cooldown while every1 else in the raid majorly contributes. (not hating on all you intimidating machines out there just my point of view) So my main standpoint is DPS- makes - the - mob - die -faster perspective.

Disclaimer: At the moment this is only a concept build, depending on the feedback from the community depends on if I personally roll one. This build is very gear intensive. It can be played well with out all the gear how ever to increase maximum efficiency and potential you may want to have/acquire this gear. I would also like to think that this build is not new player friendly since there will be a lot of swapping items around for certain situations.

The main goal of this build is to gain aggro from mobs via hate tanking, have a high enough ac where he can either not be hit all together, or very in-frequently. High HP's/Saves/AC for tanking elite ToD/ VoD/ Edq, etc. And the ability to be very healer friendly.

Nike, Dps lovin' , Hate Tanking, AC Junkie 12 fighter/6 pally/2 monk Human[/b]
Can be done with 32 point build how ever, I will be posting the 34 pt variant since that would be what I would have if I ran this build.
[Best past lives would be monk, pally, fighter, barb]
    Stats: 34pt
    Str:17
    Dex:10
    Con:16
    Int:11
    Wis:8
    Cha:14

Why Thf over twf : You can now slot sword of shadows with devil's ruin, something we couldn't do before. At the time, t2wf was way ahead on certain situations like boss fights which made 2HF seem less flexible. It's still slightly true but nothing to significant.

    str: 17 base + 2 tome + 5 level + 4 enh + 6 item + 4 stance + 3 exc. + 2 ship + 2 yugo + 2 rage +1 litany = 48

    Tank Mode
When tanking we want to be able to do the following things: Dps/ac/healing amp. fitting that in in gear slots is tricky but I think i got it.

Body: -Dragontouched Vestments or Robe: 10% Healing Amplification from Eldritch Rune, 20% Healing Amplification from Tempest Rune, Sovereign rune property of your choice. giving up a little Ac here but the healing amp is a big +
    Head: 45 hp
Bracers: Epic Claw [Heavy Fort, +2 Exc. CON]_more hp's
Gloves: Epic Claw [30% Amp, +6 STR,] ~ again more healing amp were up to 60% now with out any enhancements.
Goggles: Epic Goggles of Time Sensing ~ more hp's/dex/wisdom
Cloak: Epic Mabar Cloak [+2 Dodge]
Trinket: Epic Nimble Trinket [+1 Dodge]/Lotd (depends if you want to go dps or Ac mode. if you are in a raid where the +1 dodge wont effect how often you get hit then swap to lotd)
ring1: encrusted/ravager/ if ac is need Chattering ring.
Ring2: Cinder’s Band ~more hp more ac and more threat.
    Boots: Madstone/Anchoring
Belt: Encrusted/ravager/ if ac is needed swap to
gear layout props to srozbun for giving the best ideal gear for any hate tank build
Neck: Stalwart Necklace con and extra action boost.

    Hp breakdown
    363 naked
    10 Draconic Vitality
    60 +6 CON item
    20 +2 Exc. CON item
    30 GFL
    45 Shroud
    20 +2 ship buff
    20 rage pot
    -------------------
    568
    20 +1 Exc. CON/LotD with +3 CON tome
    40 Yugo
    -------------------
    628 hp

    AC breakdown
    10 Base
    1 Dodge Feat
    4 Icy Dodge
    1 Alchemical Dodge
    4 WIS (8 base + 2 tome + 2 exc + 6 item = 18)
    4 DEX (10 base + 2 tome + 6 item = 18)
    1 TWD
    1 Monk
    4 Insight
    5 Protection
    5 Ranger bark
    8 Armor
    4 Shield Wand
    5 CE
    1 Haste
    4 Bard
    2 Recitation
    2 Yugo (DEX and WIS)
    5 Airship (+3 natural, +2 DEX, +2 WIS)

    2 Mabar
    3 Stalwart
    2 Stalwart Set
    3 Chattering
1 Nimble Trinket (when not using LotD)
    82
    6 Paladin
    88
    4 Versatility Boost
    4 AC Boost
    96

Could squeeze in even more AC if needed but would loose some dps/healing amp.

Not to shabby for a build with a total of %120 healing amp (60 enhance+60 item with ship +10 so %130)

    Threat: 20% Epic Claw Set + 15% Stalwart Set + %100 paladin hate = %135

Props to Srozbun for the most ideal set up for any threat/hate tank with healing amp.

    Idk just a thought. enjoy
