We did a guildies 20th Shroud with 4 FvS, 1 cleric, 2 wiz, 1 sorc, 2 barbs, 1 rogue and a fighter today. Completion time was 26 minutes which included piking at the beginning waiting for someone to come in.

Not a speed run by any stretch of the imagination but it was faster than many of the pug Shrouds I've had the misfortune of joining. It was fun and shows that a "standard" party is no longer needed.

It turned out to be another guildies 20th as well, so congrats to both of you!

And not to worry, there were enough people to hand out GH to satisfy every guildie.

It isnt.

The hope is that more people read it and realize it, because there are still too many preconceived notions that the only way to win in a three plus year old raid is a templated party. I see it in the LFMs all the time.

Try and pug a Shroud on Sarlona and most days the pug leaders want a standard party with no more than 2 arcanes, sometimes just one. Same goes for divines as well.

90% of the PUGs are unfortunately quite retarted.

Even when I'm solo, i'm tossing divine punishment in part 4 while I melee tossing a quickened mass heal when it's off cool down. My fvs does far more work then my melee's (auto attack and boosts every 30 second). My paly is almost shroud ready and I figure she'll be as clickie intensive as my fvs.

Yea, there are plenty of good ones out there. I just run into some pikers sometimes :P

I like seeing every divine keeping DP on portals while meleeing them, and at least DP on harry in both parts.

Part 1 is my main concern since it takes the most amount of time, so it makes a bigger difference.

i have, still, and always will take first 11 into my pug shrouds (as long as I get 1 healzor)

i think one of my recent groups had 6 or 7 casters. we took down harry in about 20 seconds and part 5 lasted less then 2 minutes.

On my FvS I keep DP stacked on just about everything ... then I also cast Searing Light, Nimbus of Light, and Hard in between my quicken Mass Heals. This leaves me without time to melee so I generally don't stand in on the boss. And after all that casting I usually still have SP and a bauble left over!

Now if only I can help convince other Divines, both FvS and Cleric, that its ok to carry damage spells ...
