Default My test Tempest Kensai build, huge dps.

This build is made for end-game. thus haveing some good feats given later on instead of earlier. all prepareing for reaching lvl 20. i have not yet tested this build, but i'd like to get some opinions. this build has a HUGE number of feats. due to the classes it is cc'd with, it also has evasion, and sneak atk ability with decent trap finding ability, but always wear a good +10 disable device item if you can find one ;p. post comments. i'd like to hear about how its screwed up >,> its my first build useing a build planner. and its off the top of my head. so be honest. i will update as needed and will start working on it in around a week or two.

if you want maximum dps, i strongly suggest replacing ranger levels with barbarian levels and getting the reqs for frenzied berzerker I
adversity is something we face every day - for a true test, give someone power

can't, need the tempest abilities. and extra ranger feats help to save on feats later on. so ranger has to be there to make this build work right. plus its dual weild khopesh build. way way more dps then a two handed weapon frenzied barbarian.

Um it's called a blitz build(12f,6b,2r) it's meant for twf.... Better dps then 6 ranger.

I think he meant a TWF frenzied barb which most likely be more dps but with the rout your taking ranger will be more flewible with minor self heals and buffs.

Maxing DD without keeping up search is a waste of Skill points used in DD.
You wont be able to find the boxes.

Alot of folks that splash 2 levels of Rogue split them. Usually level 1 and
some where around level 10 to make up points lost to classes that don't
have alot of points to spend.

Think about a +2 int tome to shore some more skill points from your fighter
    levels.

Spreading your ranger levels up some could also help keep your search points
higher as search is a Ranger class skill.

    Just some insights.
You see in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

    Search:

    Blizt

    -Or-

    Monster

Those 2 builds should give you plenty of ideas.

yeah, self heals is more beneficial at end game then just a small amount of dps extra by going barb. but you arent getting it, twf for this build comes from the ranger. also has 2 favored enemies, undead, and evil outsider. both extremely resistant enemies at levels 6-20. and having resistance towards them plus the extra ac bonus form tempest and 10% extra hit rate on off hand with x3 crit and 20% crit rate and a huge amount of bonuses to critical and confirmed hits. i think this build is well off on dps and survivability at end game. a barbarian will not have as much defense as this build. plus, this build saves against traps. and is made to avoid damage while dealing it out massively.

This is the skill re-vamped version. more search and some other kills moved around. should be alot easier to find the traps. but remember. this build is meant to wear gear to help with that. so its mainly based on movement and evadeing damage while dealing out dps

i believe stillie is suggesting staying 2wf...

Not going to really comment on the build split since thats a pretty decent split (google the old monster build though admittedly it was WF). Stillie is suggesting a build called the Blitz which is a great build too.

off the top of my head i don't think drow is the best class for this.. for a 2wf khopesh user drow does almost nothing for the build. you lose some con and gain basically nothing but one skill point per lvl (from 10 int).. IMO you're better off going with human (or WF). you dont get a con penalty and still retain that extra skill point.

I notice youre trying to keep up trap skills and on that build it'll be a bit hard once you run out of ranger lvl's as fighter only gives you 2 skill points (3 with human and 10 int) which will be a struggle to keep up DD AND search. I personally suggest just dumping trapskills altogether and concentrating on UMD. Alternatively you need 4 skill points as a ftr to keep DD and Search max 2 from base 1 from human (if you choose to) and 12 int (either base or with a 10 +2 tome)

In terms of stats i'd take 2 off dex and get a +2 dex tome (or start on 16 and get a +1 tome) at least 14 in con and around 17 in str (im not entirely sure how many build points this works out to be).

just my opinions. if you're really set on drow go for it.. the extra feats on a ftr means that you can take one more toughness to make up that 20 hp loss from 2 less starting con anyway. Otherwise, at a quick glance, your plan seems solid enough.

EDIT: **** you fast posters.. lol
Roldon - L16 Whirling tempest of gimp.. now TR3'd for extra super double gimp : Lauralis - L22 FvS: Roldocron - L20 ArchFail : Roldobot - L20 LotB FvS: Roldyn - L21 Rogbarian, i can has disable.. after i find trap with face... : Roldyne - L20 Bardouge, i can has disable... after someone else finds trap with face... you mentioned ac bonus? just saying you might be disapointed in that department with this build. Sure tempest 6 levels of ranger adds a lot, but im not sure the ac bonus would be worth noting.

ftr 12/ barb 6/ rog 2 is definitely a twf build.

and you have plenty of feats just from the fighter levels :P, search up "blitz".

of course if you dont want to be barb and like ranger for playstyle/flavor reasons, more power to you
adversity is something we face every day - for a true test, give someone power

yeah i see what your saying, but i wanted him to be able to avoid as much "mortal danger" as possible, and his enchantment resistance helps a ton. and, drow being my favorite race, it works out well. i hate human builds honestly. they just get a few extra feats but really don't have much individuality. you have to admit. for a melee fighter with decent hp this build can evade a ton of damage ;p even though in the process of avoiding damage, it has slightly lower dps then some builds. but it can top kills im sure. gotta test it first i guess >,> im curious but i wan tto make sure the best changes can be made before i go off and try to complete it. thoguht i guess the best way to find flaws would be to try it, eh ?

is only 2ac bonus. but 2ac can make all the difference. that is not the main reason i have put ranger into this build though, the free feats for twf is why i added ranger. and tempest is a bonus that goes with the class. barb didnt seem to fit the build how i wanted it to. the wand usage of a ranger outweights the barbarian multi class option.

    << Outsider looking in

I'm guessing for any trapsmithing at all, at end game, you need max ranks of search and disable. Half ranks or whatever you call it is a waste. So, if you can't figure out your skills, maybe ditch the rogue levels and use two monk levels. I think your saves, HP and AC will be better, not to mention more feats to play with.

I don't play end game, so maybe I'm wrong but I'd go full ranks in trapsmithing. What if turb creates the next "must do" quest with high search level traps? What if they randomly place the boxes?
