    Question Tor Broke or my Brain?

    Tor Broken?

    From experience and looking at the mobs the giants are Dwarded. Yet tonight on argo going on the first scale run in maybe 8 months just now comming back to the game, I find that the giants are not immune even though it still shows when you examine them. We were able to FoD or SL everyone of them from the ones in the opening chamber all the way though. Thats not how I remember and it suprised some others too.

    Whats stranger is that the Dward Icon popped up above their heads in reaction to my Savant Earth Grab for some reason?

    Any explanation for this or am I going nuts. If not , when and why was this changed?

    Update 9 removed a lot of arbitrary immunities from trash mobs.

    IMO Tor should have kept the deathward on the cloud giants and the fire giant pyromancers, but they are gone from everything now.

    I would agree, but WHY allow them to to be immune to my Earthgrab? I came in there expecting to be able to grope some giants. If anything, EG is not as bad as FoD or SL, or destruction or anything else. It doesnt even make sense to work that way.

    It's odd - only the death immunity part of those blanket immunities was removed. Prey on the Hunter giants retain their effective Mind Blank buff, but can be fingered now.

    It appears Fascinating them is considered overpowered, but Wailing them is not.

    In the Reavers Refuge pack the giants had a blanket immunity to charm and death spells called 'Reavers Boon' or somesuch that showed up as a deathward symbol. I guess its easier than having a bunch of symbols going off over their heads deathward/fom/protection from evil etc etc.

    They've since taken away the blanket immunity (thank god) but for some reason the buff still goes off even though it has no effect.
    Some toons with Cow in the name, and some without.

    I noticed , Nectroic Ray or what ever it is for level 6 Arcanes... It does no damage BUT will do the neg level drain!

    I'd have been fine with the removal of the immunities and giving one high SR and the other high saves, but whatever. Blanket on, blanket off.

    but only the death immunity blanket. clearly it's much more balanced to just instantly kill everything than it is to paralyze them so somebody else can DPS them down.
