Melee FvS question

Here's a rather interesting question:

Provided that you had points for the CHA and stuff, would it be a ok idea for FvS to slot impolison in a level 9 spell slot whenever possible? I know, some may think its a crazy idea because a typical melee FvS would dump wis, but with the new changes to insta-kill spells, it might actually be a way for melee FvS to increase their DPS against trash and other susceptable mobs to a degree when its available...

If i want to kill something a little bit faster i throw out a divine punishment, have never used implosion tho, as i dumped wis and felt the spell point cost on something that more than likely wont hit wasnt worth it.

High wisdom, or low wisdom, implosion is solely useful for trash mobs, and is a very viable option for that purpose, regardless of your wisdom. It's effectiveness is the same, IMHO.

I built my FvS with as low a charisma as I could reasonably get away with, and a fairly decent wisdom. In retrospect, I think I would have been better off putting those wisdom points into strength or con. But I'm a TWF elven FvS, and don't really care too much about evocation spells whatsoever.

Yes, I think Implosion is a good spell to take - even on a melee FvS.

I currently have it on my WF FvS and it is good to kill off trash while I am beating down portals in Shroud or doing loot runs, etc.

It won't always land, but every little bit helps.
