    Default See everything

A friend and I have double TRed over this bonus XP weekend, we decided it was high time to see everything in the game, no more skipping content for the fastest route (though it's not exactly been slow), so here's what we did:

Everything in korthos, normal, hard then elite.

After we hit the harbour we cycled everything,
    level 2 quests on normal,
then level 3 quests on normal/level 2 quests on hard,
then level 4 normal, level 3 hard, level 2 elite and so on

By the time we'd done level 4 normal/level 2 elite and half of level 3 on hard we literally had to stop holding level 6 and just take -10% on the remaining level 3 hard quests, we've done about 6 level 5 quests on normal (no level 4 hards/level 3 elites done yet) and are at rank 33, we're going to have to stop holding level 7 soon.

I realise we're currently gaining 25% bonus xp, though even if we weren't we'd still be far ahead (we'd not have lost so many 10%s on hard level 3 quests for one thing).

It's kind of interesting that nobody seems to do this, while it definitely isn't the quickest way, and we will farm select extremely high XP quests we don't seem to be struggling for XP in the slightest, indeed there's a ridiculous abundance of available XP. Plus we don't have to come back and do the favour grind later, plus it's less tedious than farming the same quests over and over, it turns out that many quests give FAR more xp than I ever realised, even before the bonus 25%...

We did something similar in my TR group, only we realized really quickly that we had to start 'one and doning' it on elite and we got to 20 fine for our first TR. We're gearing up to TR them again and see how it goes, but we suspicion that given that we ended up doing end content areas for no xp as we'd returned to 20, and did NO slayers the first time, we can probably one or two and done them to top out again. It let us see more quests, not have to favor grind as you said, and we had a lotta fun doing it. I hope you enjoy the ride too!

We also found interesting things we'd never found before missing a lot of quests. LOL Nothing super awesomesouce, but some fun gear and just the novelty of seeing new quests and doing quests we didn't know how to do in our sleep.

Our TR group has taken this approach too. We like to enjoy playing the game and the idea of repeating the same quest over and over for xp just seems awful... much more fun to do as many quests as we can at level.

TR'ing doesn't have to be a grind people

    Default Xp/Level

it is very easy to out level content in the earlier levels, but it wont take you much longer till you notice the large uphill climb between levels.

The way your running the content would definatly help reduce the grind feeling that comes with double tr's, perhaps more people should do this, maybe they wont feel like its work.

I do this on any toon I can, just because I tend to like the early favor. Some quests though, I dislike running multiple times. I can't imagine doing a series like Threnal 3 times .... oh god I think I'm going to throw up. Chains of Flame, for instance, is a pain in the rear to get to.

That said, I'm not a completionist racer, so I don't mind tradnig a bit of time for favor now instead of XP. Bags, House P favor (need my jump).

Truth though is that once you hit 13ish, you need to re-run to get where you need to be within reason.

You and me both. I think Threnal senses it, it does it's level best to bork my chain no matter how many times I am careful to get my own quests, do west then east, and make sure I never miss a turn in or give it any reason to hate me. LOL That quest is out to get us players! - Silly turtle mode off now.

Hah, I think I probably won't bother with elite hold for reinforcements ;p
