    Default Whats better?

    Looking for a s&b tank plan on dwarf for the plus to con starting off and plan on useing dwarf war axes so i can make use of the enchantment for the lil extra dps going to be a 1st life 32pt build but what i wanted to know was whats the better tank and solo play fighter or pally? or a mix of the two?

    Sword and bored will be a bit tough to maintain a dependable AC score once you hit
    Gianthold, if you don't have the gear for it.

    whatever you decide, I strongly recommend staying pure, both of those classes have very strong capstones. (capstone is an enhancement you can take at lvl 20 if you are pure)

    GUess it is more so wanted to know if one was better at being a s&b tank over the other and how good s&b tanks are, if they do suck whats plan B twf thf? and what class is better at those?

    S&B tanks that only S&B are weak in most situations and adequate in a few. You have three things working against you: S&B is dramatically less DPS than TWF or THF, S&B prestiges are dramatically less DPS than DPS prestiges, and you will not be able to reach a useful level of AC in endgame.

    Your best bet is Paladin, because Paladins get Divine Righteousness, a dramatic threat increase that does not rely on prestige. You can therefore pair it with Knight of the Chalice and have an outside chance at holding aggro.

    In terms of straight DPS builds, paladins and fighters do about the same damage.
