Is the Paladin capstone WAI?

Hi all,

I just capped a pally & took the 'weapons of good' capstone, but it doesn't seem to be doing what the tooltip says:



Here i am with my old trusty triple positive & the capstone loaded:



Fighting a Bezekira (a lawful evil, evil outsider)



Fighting a vale cat (I forget the name, evil alignment I believe):



Using a cursespewing greatsword of everbright on a trog:




It looks like the capstone does make any weapon good aligned (see last SS, the CS of EB is doing good damage). But where is the +1d6 holy vs evil opponents & the 2d6 light damage vs evil outsiders?


The SS's with the triple positive clearly show the weapon damage +disruption (immune) +goodburst +holy +KoTCIII EO damage. Again, the capstone extra's are missing.

During a shroud (just before I did these SS's) the capstone also did not provide any extra damage. Not the evil trogs, the EO's, nothing, nada.


This is my first Pally, I don't know if this if WAI or a continuing bug.

Anyone have any ideas?

Wanted to say it was probably a stacking issue with the triple pos, until you popped the cursespewernon the fiend blood trogs.
Worth looking into. Will pop over to my dos paladin who's been a bank toon for a few months and see what I see.

To tell the truth, I think that the DR/good bypass is the most important aspect of the capstone - leads to devil beating eSoS, Chaosblades, or any other overpowered epic item.

Still, 3d6 is not to be ignored. Did you file a bug report?

It should be on the help section, but there is (ironically) a bug that causes the page to load as a black screen with no visible UI. I have not tried to report a bug lately, last time I tried (and saw this) was a month or two ago.

I was using two banishers in both screenshots

First SS is Base + 4d6 (banishing) + 1d6 (capstone)
Second SS is Base + 4d6 (banishing) + 4d6 (KoTC III) + 2d6 (capstone) + 1d6 (capstone)

As a relevant note to this thread: The DR/good bypass does not function with throwing weapons, even though the bonus damage does. I tested this with a +1 paralyzing axe vs. orthons, and a +5 metalline dagger vs. orthons and Suulomades - I got yellow numbers every time, but those lovely bonus damage numbers regardless.

Just tried again (logged into a different toon, ran shroud, swapped back)

Looks like it works now



Maybe i just need to weapon swap to get it to work? will keep testing.

Came back to post it seemed to work fine with generic weapons and holy sword. Don't know on triple pos as I don't have one on my paladin at this time.

Might I interject that if you had just respecced and/or just acquired the enhancement(s), it may have been a relog that corrected the issue. That type of occurrence does happen regularly with just acquired goodies being broken until relog sporadically.

thank you for that. Seems to have self righted, so as for now I'll waive posting a bug.

Thats probably it, although the original bug occured almost 10 hours after I had capped & picked up the enhancement ->turn on pc, load DDO, select my pally, *swing swing* wha?

Meh, teething problems Still its better than my bugged wiz (who if specc'ed as AM will loose 8 DC off necro spells when the necro focus scepter is unequiped... but thats a story for another thread)
