Red face So many Paladin/Rogue Abominations

    I need some help.

I recently remembered another toon that I had deleted. So I paid my 20$ to see what loot he had stashed (Yay scourge choker, eye of the beholder and almost completed orchard shield). Sadly however, and much to my chagrin I discovered yet another Paladin Rogue multi-class (the 4th one). This one was apparently built for AC (combat expertease) and is drow. The level split is 9 Paladin 6 ranger and 2 rogue. I need to respec for sure and possibly lesser R. I have a +5 greater heart of wood, should I use it for past ife purposes to dump some Paladin levels and take rogue to cap for past life feat? Or should I just continue up to 12 Paladin 6Ranger 2 Rogue then TR with Paladin past life? Im thinking of going Melee FVS 18 Monk 2 for my TR.

I apologize to the server for so many Paladin Multiclasses, there is no excuse really

Ranger passive past life feat is better, so, I would suggest to get the ranger Icon there and then TR. (or would be my humble opinion)

    Umm.. Better for what, exactly?

Each time you acquire this feat you gain +2 damage with ranged weapons and +2 to elemental resistances.
I can't really picture him needing ANY of that on his proposed build.
Osharan, Esharan, Osharina, Usharina, etc... I'm the 'sharans. Epoxy. Notverysexy.
I've taken the craft disturbing mental image feat... You have been warned!

I can see going either way(paladin or rogue).

For passive feats, I think the 5% healing amp from the paladin is about a wash with the +2 trap saves and the +1 sneak attack damage.

For purchasable feats, if you were going for a non-divine melee character, I'd say the paladin would be better. That +3 att/dam for 3 minutes is a nice little buff for boss fights. Since you're aiming for a melee fvs, the purchasable feat for rogue is a bit more useful. Although feats are tight on that type of build, so I don't really picture you wanting to take it.

I'd aim for the paladin myself, but that's mainly because you already have him setup to finish up to 20 that way. I'd save the +5 heart for moving something around that's a little less of a balanced choice.

Ysh I think you are right about the paladin past life. And with a melee fvs the feats will be a little tight and I won't take the pally feat. I might have to hold off on TRing until Kalashtars are released.

Sounds like a viable build to me although depending on the level it might be fun to get it to endgame maybe swapping out the cleric for a couple monk levels. It's nice to have a funny build to play with without having to bear the pain of leveling up a mutt that only works after lvl 18-20

First off, you're on the wrong server. People with your build issues are all over here on Orien.

Second, I'm not sure that it is worth trying to lesser reincarnate to "fix" the character. You're already L17. Why not just cap out and TR?

If you really need to have 1 past life instead of another take your last 3 lives as a rogue. Then LR3 to settle as a ranger or a rogue -- or do nothing to stay a paladin.

That gives you a bit of time to figure out which past life will fit best with your TR plans and to get more advice on build ideas you may have. Meanwhile you get to keep playing the character.

You can't picture the benefit of a stacking +2 to all resist and a +2 ranged damage being good for a build?

I suppose if you what you need it a 5% healing amp, then that is the way you should go. and the +2 trap save could be handy with the monk Evasion. To each their own on that.

i will never use a ranged weapon except to hit levers and explode barrels. Fvs get 10 resist to 3 elements atleast on a 18/2 split as well as the ability to cast resist and prot spells. so kinda redundant to go ranger, as well as costly using a +5 heart

I suggest taking more of whatever you do not want to use again on your way to completionist.

If you never want to make a pally again, take pally main.

If you never want a ranger again, take ranger main.

if you never want a rogue again, quit the game.

Then paladin levels will be best for healing amp out of those 3.

Another vote for paladin past life. Healing amp multiplies, that 5% can turn into a heck of a lot. It might not be as great for a WF, if you go that way, but compared to 2 resistance? Seems clear to me.

That said, if you're planning on an AC build, the barkskin from ranger PL is super handy.

If you are ever going to consider completionist, than I would finish up ranger and get that stinker of a past life out of the way. Then TR to a Pali/Rogue J$ special.

If you aren't ever going for completionist on this toon, the pali past life is decent.

I would suggest the only sane option would be for J$ to /ragequit the game, followed by /ragequit life.
