If peeps tripping and stunning .. TRUST ME archers counter that by having you lying motionless on the floor with 64+ arrows in your chest before you even get close enough to trip and or stun !!

Dude ... Dudette ? Its PvP .... There are no rules except have fun and try not to ragequit too often

there's only 1 pvp rule: don't die

and 2 conclusions about it:

if you win, you are a pro
if "enemy" wins, he/she is a noob/lame/etc etc

and of course, the lvl of the players has no relation with pvp rules, neither the conclusions lol

- don't bug using (like invicible pets)
- don't camp spawning point

all the rest is allowed

and... tavern isn't PVP, just waste of time when bored, arena is PVP. This is My Opinion

There is no rule in pvp except that ccing people for like 1+ hour or so is a violation of the game.

It's pvp, expect to die in there.

pvp has no place in ddo
it causes arguments such as this which detract from the true purpose of the game
If you want to pvp thats fine. but in now way should it detract from the game or effect how it is developed.

I'm probably just gonna hop in really late at night when I am done getting XP for the night ...

Whichever of my 18 archers will be fine ( I just don't generally survive below 12th level )

Rule 1 ...... Hit IPS and many shot and sprint boost

Rule 2 ...... Hop into the pit targeting casters first healers second

Rule 3 ...... Casually climb ladder out of the pit with 5-10 ghosts following you

Rule 4 ...... Ignore all ganking tells that are incoming

Rule 5 ...... Log out and come back with an alt

Rule 6 ...... Join angry pvp party that's waiting for archer to come back into pop ( if I had a dollar for every time I have done this my ddo would have been free for half a year )

Rule 7 ...... Repeat from rule one except now you are on the pvp floor and BEHIND most of the targets and 99 percent of the time they have NO idea where the arrows are coming from



Walk up the ladder again and make sure to be polite as you say goodnight and log off

Hehe ,,,,, sooooo not nice BUT neither is fighting 25th LDL casters when they are prepped.

Rules are great provided people follow them or more to the point there are people there to enforce them.

I feel like I've been putting this off too long.
There are a couple of guidelines I follow, they are not absolute and they don't apply to those who don't themselves follow them.
1. It's not acceptable to kill someone who can't possibly defeat you, it is ok to attack them in self defense.
2. It's not acceptable to intervene in a duel unless you kill both parties.
3. It is not acceptable for someone else to intervene in your duel, he's not helping you, he's stealing your kill, kill him!
4. It's preferable ask before attacking, but not mandatory.
5. It's not ok to paralyse without killing.
6. It's never ok to get mad at someone for killing you.
7. It's cowardly to jump from the ledge to kill and them run back up, staying in the pit is the only true testament of skill.
8. It's is not ok to selectively only kill the ones weaker than you.
9. Any behavior that poisons the atmosphere is not acceptable.
10. It's not ok for people who never PVP and have no interest in PVPing to derail threads with meaningless posts about how PVP is bad for whatever reason.

What about when that low lvl decides to stand by you when you cast death aura to heal yourself? your not attacking him, he's not attacking you, but he's dying! poor lvl 1 getting one shotted by death aura. . .
