No thanks. If you are running out of storage, maybe you need to rethink what you really need.

If you need more bank space you can buy it from the store (pity its per toon, not account wide!).

Currently there is no way to get your Coin Lord rep high enough for another bag, hopefully this will be introduced in the future. But seriously, is it THAT important to you to have all those clickies and other swappable gear?

If you need more storage, it is cheaper and more efficient to buy an extra character slot and get 80 slots right off and another 80 unlockable via gameplay than it is to buy those last 40 bank slots on an existing character.

I actually know a guy who's house is like that, he has a 2 bedroom house and the whole floor of the entire place is at least 6 inches deep in coke bottles and pizza boxes, his bed is a futon which has enough room for him to sleep on carved out of the rubbish that has encroached upon it.

I cleaned up three apartments like this, but was only full with clothes. The very rich, old, lonely man, who owned the building, had died. His only hobby was buying clothes (some of them quite expensive). I made a rough estimate, I guess he spent about 1 million dollar in clothes he never used.

Seriously, though... make a mule (either alt of the account you have now, or a new f2p one) to haul your assorted stuff... Or, buy shared banking if you're worried about a bunch of BtA stuff.

The fact is that in DDO there is indeed big inventory problem.
After U9 the problem was significantly increased (for new players it's impossible to have tiny ingredients bags, and the number of types of ingredients was increased a lot).

Another fact is that DDO earns money from that (you have to buy huge bags from DDO store, additional bank slots, shared bank slots, etc.).

As others mentioned, you can create several F2p accounts to store unbound items (annoying, but it's free).

I prefer to be limited by the weight of items rather than the number of slots (as it is in some other games, for example Neverwinter Nights), but I understand why Turbine will never make inventory big.
    Just enjoy F2p game

Are you sure that's a fact and not just your opinion? I dont have an inventory problem, and U9 actually made it easier for me when they increased the number of Khyber and Siberys shards in a stack.

Not true. Go ahead and screenshot or list all your items that you regularly carry around on any character and I will help you pare it down. On no character do I ever have less than 40 slots open for loot (once I have 5 bag slots).

We USE to get by with 3 bags, and that was when UMDing scrolls was so much more effective.

Since when? being able to get 5 bags has been in the game for about 4 years, back in the days when melees only needed about 4 different weapons, 1 for slimes, a pure good one and a holy one, maybe 1 ice one and 1 ghost toucher if you were a bit decadent. (seriously, the above pretty much covered every mob type in the good old days, inevitables were dealt with using magic missile spam instead of chaotic weapons). Niac's cold ray was so good that fire mobs when down nearly instantly to wizards and sorcerors and vampires were the toughest mobs in the game because good silver weapons were rare (the key was to surround them with melees and drop a firewall on them).

    Sorry about that.

    But I know I'm right.
    (again, just my opinion )

    EDIT:
I believe that bags from DDO store is one of the most profitable things for Turbine (especially after U9).
For me this game is like a very good business school. I was very impressed how well everything is organized in this game.
The game officially is F2p, but it earns a lot of money at the same time (I've seen how other players think, it's enough proof for me).

Back in those days we didn't have niacs or firewall.
MM was the firewall back then and that's what we used on vampires...3 sorcs, 2 door blockers, and a healer...the only vampire in game at the time was the one in house P that no one remembers

What would be the downside to this?

Turbine makes more money and the packrats are happy.

If 5 bags are enough for every situation, then surely a 6th bag will provide no advantage in an adventure.

I know I can recall lvl 10 days I started late in them, but still in 06. I recall FW scrolls, and bag slots long before 32pt builds which happend when Jan 07 so saying 4 years is off its more like 5 years now.

to bag slots sure I have on my rogue maybe 30 free slots to crawl into a dungeon with. My FvS maybe 20 slots.

I am weak sauce on toons 10 so 800+40 share+TR banks that is not a great amount of room. the current top tier(3) CL favor is that intim haggle bonus not a bag slot. we will never see a 6th backpack unforunately.

    Then you'll want a 7th bag and a 7th slot.
