As for the original idea, bad idea. Let see... I have about 2K TPs sitting there, just because I'm not interested in spending them... the only thing that might interest me in the shop at the moment is XP pots... And I'm not even that interested in that.

So there's no point in spending plat ( from my point of view ) to buy TP.

Now, if you take the bigger picture, plat is at best a commodity to buy ship stuff ( if you are officer and can do such a thing ) and to buy items from the AH. ( as scrolls and potions are relatively cheap, I won't count them, 10K plat is nothing ), at worst it's something that we have to manage between toons because of the plat cap on characters.

The economy is already not based on plat, it is based on Large Devil Scales and Flawless Red Dragon Scales bartering, so the economy won't collapse if there's a lack of plat.

Anybody remember when the economy was based on gold pieces ? ( and a +1 Vorpal was The Weapon ( along with Retribution and SoS )

Good ideas are one thing. Really, really, really bad and ill thought out ideas are another.

This one really is a no-brainer on how much it would effect the finances of Turbine and DDO survivability.
