Question Regarding Automatic Feats

Some classes, such as monk and ranger, grant feats automatically as you level up (like diehard and twf, etc.)

If you accidentally take one of those feats at an earlier level it appears that you end up losing that feat since at the level up it still shows you getting that feat (as a second time perhaps? but twf and diehard don't exactly stack with themselves) so I am wondering if you go to Fred to unlearn your feat if it will still be there from the second time you learned it or if your character is completely screwed out of a feat. Thanks for your help in advance.

If i remember i took a feat that got granted to me at higher levels , And when i went to fred i think it didn't show as a feat i can swap out . Hopefully someone has more of a definitive for you .

hmm well i guess when i get higher level i could always just get a heart of wood, that seems like it would fix the problem, but hopefully theres a less expensive solution

Nope, getting wood is your only option to regain a lost feat. No other way around it at the moment.
