20 Flawless Red Dragon Scales

Would like to trade those for Scroll of the Marilith Chain. If thats not enough I have Scroll of the Gloves of the Claw, other less popular scrolls, mostly from VoN, (un)limited amount of large GS ingredients, GS blanks/ingredients, some named items on request.

That's insane and stupid. Maybe the price is different on your server but it's 15-20 reds on G-Land.

Just because one person pays it, it doesn't necessarily change the actual price. Just because one person pays 50 reds for a Charged scroll, does that indeed put the value at 50 reds? Absolutely not.

from what i understand(rather certain this goes for all servers) that scroll next to never drops, so, it might be easier to roll up a toon that can, and farm till you get that scroll.

Hmm, I don't think the drop rate of any scroll is different than other scrolls from same pack, its just like with GS ingredients, no matter what most people think large scales drop just as often as large bones but needed in 5-10 times more recipes, so harder to pile up and more expensive. 2 things make it harder/hardest to get - the number of epic items in Sands is insane (64) that makes the chance of a drop pretty small and second - I personally know at least 30 different people on Sarlona that are looking for just the scroll to craft, countless others have either shard or seal and wouldn't mind scroll as well Easy to say that EVERYONE is after this scroll so price of 20 is not "crazy" - supply and demand I have at least 2 toons capable of farming, it just annoys me a lot and I don't have so much time to invest (or don't want to). So will stick with trying to trade for it for now, might go farm later

I'm pretty certain that raid scrolls in desert have a much, much lower drop rate than other scrolls.

I think it's something like when a scroll drops, 75% chance for it to be from slayer area or side quest item, 25% chance to be for a raid item.

Just wanted to isolate this - while it's true that LDS are needed far more than most ingredients, I personally have accrued 13 large bones in the Shroud on a specific character, and only 5 LDS. From what I've heard other people say, this isn't uncommon at all. A lot of it is supply and demand, but on the other hand...some things just don't drop for people.

Everything else in your post I agree with, though.

I have nearly 800 shroud completions on all my toons combined, I guarantee you there is no difference in the drop rate of the ingredients, yes it does seem like bones drop all the time and scales don't but its simply not true this time you got 13 bones and 5 scales, next 20 shrouds you will get 10 scales and 3 bones and so on... Prices for them are so easily explained too, any single aspect recipe requires at least 2 scales, 2/3 of them require 3 scales, any double aspect recipe requires 5 scales, some of them 6 scales, same numbers for bones are 0 and 1 for single aspect, and 1 and 2 for double respectively so everyone has shortage of scales and surplus of bones, which leads to prices of them on AH and trade chat. Anyway the point of this was to buy a scroll, not argue about drop rates and it seems I can't do first and got too much of second so if there is way for someone to remove this thread completely, would be appreciated if you do so, thanks.

POint is that on the overall recipes, i think we would use each amount or so of each ingredients. Though there are some recipes that are used A LOT : minII , lit II, concordant opposition... those requires mainly scale/stones/shraps
