Been playing for a while now, but I originally downloaded the pack from Fileplanet due to the launcher not working correctly (It would run for about 3 seconds, flash on the screen and then vanish). According to the download page, its standard resolution rather than the high res version.
Is there an easy way to upgrade to the high-res version of DDO without using the (non functioning) installer? Or, failing that, is there a way to get my PC to run the installer without problems. I was unable to make posts as a F2P account, and so I never queried this at the time of installation, but if it can be fixed I would appreciate the info.
Edit: I'm running Windows Vista 32bit

Your best bet?
Download the High Res, using the launcher, somewhere that *does* work. Another system, another house, another network.. you get where I'm going with this.
Pop it on a thumbdrive (I think 8 gig drives would suffice?) and carry it to your house.
Got any friends that don't mind you stealing some bandwidth for a few hours?
