Default PSA: Thread Titles With PSA No Longer Imaginitive

    This news just in...
Starting a thread with PSA (Public Service Announcements) deemed to indicate thread may contain useful information
but likely to be ignored due to use of unoriginal title.

Another annoyingly titled thread using PSA to call attention to itself while not serving the public at all.

Did you post this because you thought it would be humorous? To call attention to yourself? To troll for positive rep? To troll for negative rep? Or was it honest to goodness a request to stop using the much overused PSA?

If it was the last, then you should have left out PSA from your thread title, so I'll assume it was one of the others.

I do not find "PSA" threads annoying, unless they do not actually put forth any effort to make some sort of announcement in the attempts of serving the public.

    Exempli gratia:

A "PSA" titled thread that tells new players something useful about the game - good! +1 reps and your title does not bother me.

A "PSA" titled thread that seeks to troll or cause drama, or that is intended as a satire or lampoon of someone else - bad! No +1 reps and your title is a lie.

    This.

I agree theres been quite a few lately that shouldnt be called 'PSA', but you are practicing exactly that which you are complaining about.

I've made two PSA threads. One was to try to convince people not to bail on the abbot when a single puzzle wipes, the other was to tell people that you can put more than 8 items in a trade window. I hope both were ignored/acceptable to you.

Yes this, but it looks like the smiley in the OP wasn't enough so if anyone took offence please know that wasn't the intention
It was a little poke at all the recent PSA threads - some are good, some are not so good (including this one).

99% are a waste of time like this one and are simply users trying to call attention to themselves rather than an in-game issue that is not widely known on the forums already.

Noobs don't read the forums much, people need to learn that and stop making posts pointed towards those players.

Is it that Noobs don't read the forums much, or is it that once Noobs start reading the forums they become Edumicated, and don't consider themselves Noobs anymore?

Or, do Noobs force themselves to play the game until their Noobness wears off before daring to poke their noses in the forums for fear of getting said nose bitten off?

I really think that DDO should add irony damage to the game. Would give a whole new meaning to the terms 'wounding of puncturing'!

I wish I had gotten this PSA before posting what I thought was a humorous 'PSA'. I swear it's getting more and more difficult to keep up with lingo the cool kids are using these days. It feels like yesterday's 'LOL' is becoming today's 'old meme is old' faster and faster.
