A nice feature, if Turbine ever updates how the UI works, would be to allow shift-clicking to select multiple items for moving between inventory, bank slots, bags, etc.

I am not absolutely sure, what will be the difference to "Ctrl"+drag items (which is already implemented)?!
Edit: Oic, you want to select different items, not stacked items. Hence, /signed

How would that work? You select six items in your bag, then have to pick all six slots in the bank to drop them into? How would it decide which went into which slot?
The mechanics of the game will already use items such as thieves tools or arrows from left to right, top to bottom, tab 1 to tab 5. Therefore each inventory slot has a "priority" in a sense.
So say you clear a 3x3 space in the top-left of a tab and select all your small GS mats to do level one crafting. You drag the "group" to the first open space. The program places the small scales in spot 1, the small bone in spot 2, the small chain in spot 3. It tries to place the small arrowhead in spot 4, but it's full. It tries again in spot 5, but same problem. It then moves to the next row and keeps trying, and continues the process until either all the selected mats are in your inventory or until it runs out of inventory slots and then pops up a "your inventory is too full" message.
