I'm saying they that failed because noone bothered to make a team out of them at any point.

It's probably true that the leadership was non existant. Then again, we're talking about shroud where for the average PUG on Khyber, there's a tried and trusted (Yes I know it's slow) script which allows people with basic or non existant leadership skills to form a group and complete 99% of the time.

Anyone who joins a group where there is little instruction or voice leadership in the first 3 parts should really be preparing themselves for the usual ritual of slow buffs and gather at the portal for masses before part 4. The same ritual of saving earth (Or the next best available leutenant) in part 5 also applies.

Sometimes it's frustrating to wait for these little scripted rituals to take place, but if you join a usual Shroud PUG rather than a guild/firends run, it's what you should be expecting. The point being that it can take only a small deviation from the usual script to cause mayhem and a one way trip to wipesville.

I dont like it when people rush through the quest and cant stick together, especially when it causes exp loss or a fail, but when 11 people are in to start the shroud and one guy (with no shame/apologies) mentions over speaker that he came to meridia and saw he had a quest to hand in so he did that and sold first is a real **** off. Get with the program.

The quest completion can wait, why should 11 other players have to wait for (already the last) one guy to do his business from another quest.

While I do not mean to impose if it is my group I take the time to help them get things straight... is same for those people need to make a first run to ToD, tends set the group off. I try to abide by what the group feels as a whole about the situation.


On note of the OP I highly understand where My Brute is comming from... he's a number of TR's with alloted time limits on buffs and xp shrines ... many just wish to rush through and move onto the next quest as soon as possible.

I get a little miffed 'bout what DDO has become really... you see long time ago I took position with the game itself that I was not going to chase pixels, fact is to me every quest was "fun" and it was the people did so... but not alone, there was a challenge to the game - at levels - the game has lost that however, you see we have level 3 20th life TR's with a ton of capital and gear and some new 28 point new player wielding a flame touched longsword falling into the same groups. The TR wants to just see level 20 as soon as possible and the 28 pointer wishes to smell the roses along the way, sponge up all the information, ideas and feel the "newness." The current PvE is poorly designed to deal with both ... the game segregates.

Yesterday I was flagging Ambyre for abbot along with my Pádraig. Sigils and a speed run thru four sides Litany. I had to leave for a meeting early. When I returned I continued with the last side myself and Pádraig was on one of his lowbies in deleras at the time, not that I minded that but the tells in conversation tell much the way of how things have changed.

In same light I wish to thank my Xirek and those who let me ride coattails in the new content last evening, 3767 yes, just a number but bestowed by you all as a reminder and I do appreciate such.
