I've been trying to decide what to TR my main alt Xanxibar of Khyber into. I've looked at Monster builds, SolarPhoenix variants. They are all great builds, but I really like the rogue splash.
When the toon started, I was originally going to make her an elf AA, but then I became enamored of WSS and wanted a tempest 2, healing amp build. The first version of this toon ended up as a 12Ranger/7Monk/1Rogue WSS + Xen Archery build with enough healing amp to want more, but not enough to be truly self survivable. Also they massively nerfed Fists of Light to the point of uselessness for monk splashes. So I have a capped Tempest Phoenix with lots of awesome longswords and a healthy respect for UMD's ability for keeping one alive.
So I went back to the drawing board. It's a long slog to level 20 if you play in PUGs. I think Xanxibar has pugged with almost everyone on Khyber.
Some things you learn fast in PUGs: You need to be flexible. AC is still good for not dying when hit. You can't actually guarantee that a Shroud PUG has a rogue when you need one. You can never have too many healing pots. Don't leave home without your Raise Dead scroll because there's no guarantee that the Cleric you just waited 25 minutes for knows what they're doing either.
So this is not a minmax build. It's a build designed to fill those critical couple roles in PUGs.
So I present a build designed to fill many roles: The Utility Infielder (aka The PUG Saver)
Full UMD, DD and search. Pretty Good DPS. Almost Nosebleed AC. Scroll heal with the best of them.
At 20, switch the Monk dilly feat to Cleric and drop the Dex enhancements.
Why Imp Trip and not Stunning Blow? You can't make a +stunning Khopesh. But you can make a +trippoing Khopesh.
