    Default TR Assassin Build, feedback requested

    I'm planning on TRing my dex-based finesse drow assassin into a helf str-based assassin. I really enjoy the rogue gameplay, and am looking forward to trying out str-based with fighter dilletante (so I can use some of the cool weapons I found like the rocksplitter, etc. that I don't use with my finesse rogue).

    I just finished Sleezak's fourth greensteel item (she now has a rad II rapier, hp rad guard cloak, cleansed triple-neg necklace, triple-pos heavy mace). She also has several pieces of raid gear, etc. I need about 7 more epic dungeon tokens to TR.

    One more note, even though I am going str-based this time, I'm not planning on using khopeshes.......I know many of you will recommend this, but for now I'm planning on mainly using the arsenal of rapiers I have (+5 met/pg, wounding/puncturing, greater banes, etc.). I know it won't be quite the DPS of khopeshes, but my DPS should be significantly better than my current dex-based finesse build.

    The past life is very powerful at the endgame, but you won't be using it that often at level 3.
    I'd take power attack to speed up those delera's runs, and save the past life clickie for level 18. +5 to hit/+10 to damage is a cool clickie, +1/+1 is a waste


    Improved critical is more useful than OTWF, you have power attack and high str backing you up.


    Why are you going half-elf? Flavor reasons? The weapon proficiency isn't worth that much, master's touch scrolls are easy to UMD.

    Human has an extra feat, WF has power attack and thoughness enhancements, Horc has +4 str and power attack enhancements, halfling has +4 to-hit and +8 damage with sneak attacks.

    I love my horc rogue, but I'd say halfling is the best option, unless you have insane str and to-hit gear already.

    So far, it is quite decent. A little tweaking may be in order, but not by much. It looks pretty and similar to my halfling. Your intelligence ends on an odd score, as well as your constitution. I suggest beginning with 13 con and one more to INT, or vice versa. As you are, you will end with a 38 for an assassinate check (fully geared) which is quite respectable. Adding the one to INT will give another skill all around and improve your assassinate by 1. Going the other way will not have an effect on your skills or assassinate check, and will improve your HP by 20.

    Hmmz... Defensive roll's usefulness is debatable. It certainly does improve survivability. You could take Skill mastery instead for better skills (I am sold on this feat solely based upon the +1 to UMD, but that is more of a personal thing), but your Intelligence is high enough so it should not be a big deal.

    You did skip any kind of improved critical feat, it seems that you traded that for sneak of shadows. I would trade Power Attack for Improved critical. Your DPS will be much higher with that than it would be with power attack. You mentioned using your collection of rapiers, so take improved critical piercing.

    I see you took the improved constitution. That opened up the extra toughness enhancement, the extra 10 HP is totally worth it.

    I will run this through the builder and post a suggested build for you.

    Edit: Looking at your tome usage gave me a hint, lol, still running it through.
