So, wouldn't Lit II khopesh/Smallblade be best damage?

Next question, what about DR -- especially in epic content? For something like Shroud normal (the typical loot/mats run) it doesn't mean much. Does it matter on any of the bosses when running elite or epic?

Reason for question is that DPS vs mobs is usually secondary to DPS vs bosses. If Lit II is losing too much to DR then shouldn't goal be "boss beater" of some type. Maybe Min II?
Lit II Khopesh would be tops if you had both imp crit slash and pierce. Without both the lit II rapier/smallblade combo still comes out ahead.

For hard and elite dr silver and good bosses yes it's better to use a min II or crafted combo and for these khopesh would be better than rapier.

I personally don't value boss dps as highly as I did before. I run almost exclusively epic content and the only thing in there that requires a dr good and silver combo is epic DA. Lailat requires dr good and cold iron but a min II or crafted rapier with smallblade offhand will outdo most anything other than dual crafted khopesh as she has fairly low dr and no fort. Sure theres the occasional shroud or tod run but dual +4 holy burst silver rapiers of greater lawful outsider bane are just fine.

For boss fights also the gap between rapier and khopesh for me is made up by the fact that I can take rog past life feat instead of khopesh which provides more dps for up to 3 minutes.

    Thanks.

I was thinking when I asked that most epic doesn't involve bosses with DR but don't run them a whole lot so wasn't totally certain.

    Good info all around.

You can assassinate mobs with a heal scroll in your hand just as well as with a min 2 pesh^^ (been there, done that)
    I'll play devil's advocate:
    Go for kukri!
My assassin is going for midnight grettings (maybe i even dual them if the proposed upgrade goes through)
    Rad2+Epic Midnight for trash
    Epic Midnight+Min2 for bosses
You don't even need a feat for it and you get a nice high crit range profile for the rad 2 on top

    Confused? Then read on!
On top of that I went for Precision!
Go for elite bosses or epics and sneak/crit through their heavy fort!!! (even portals)
You loose some base damage, but the main damage will be from the sneak attack anyway. And you can even hit the mobs while you got aggro (until the rad 2 strikes again)

    Cheers

I've tried dual Khopeshes, Rapiers, Longswords, Great Axes, Great Swords, Rapier/Dagger & Rapier/Short Sword combos.
Out of all of them, I enjoy the dual Khopeshes the most.
    Why?
Rogues tend to be very squishy, and the sooner you take out the baddies, the better your chance of survival.

Of course, I had to take levels 2 & 3 as fighter to get the feats, but it's been well worth it, to me.
Besides the Khopesh proficiency, Power Attack, Two Weapon Fighting, and Oversized Two Weapon Fighting are the minimum feats to take to do it, IMHO.

If you are going pure Rogue, and are a Drow or Elf, then the Rapiers & their enhancements are the best you can muster with the Rogue's limited feats.
(I'd still recommend getting the Two Weapon Fighting and Power Attack feats.)
(Weapon Finess is also a must for a Rogue/Rapier build with high Dexterity.)

Precision comes in handy ONLY if u are missing a lot AND are fighting with 50%/100% fort mob. Otherwise it's gonna decrease your damage. Don't forget that it halves not only your base damage but SA as well.

Midnight Greetings isn't bad. I'm trying to get that elusive seal to try it myself, especially to compare it before and after the upcoming upgrade.

Khopesh is better, but if you start to work in things like if you could have weapon focus. Does hitting on a 2 for a Rapier and a 3 for Khopesh make a difference? Or especially more important things like Power Attack. If a build can't afford power attack, I'm sure the dmg for the rapier w/ power attack is much greater.. although I guess this all brings things into a realm of subjectivity.
